I loved that game until the aunt got pregnant but after this there was so many new girls and the story became so convoluted that i lost the track between updates. Why adding that "clone war" story and those stupid shootings.
The best VNs are when there is a limited number of girls that you take time to discover with a simple but grounded story.
When the game throws a bunch of new girls it could seem a good idea but it's not, it's just diluting the attention and when you add some weird side story that doesn't make much sense it's even worse.
And when you add the fact that you have one or two month between updates it makes thing very foggy, you don't remember really who is who and what's going on.
But i like the girls even if i can't remember their names and what they are doing.

Sometimes the best policy is to just walk away shaking your head in disbelief. Meanwhile, I'll just dream of an unlikely Martha-Debbie sandwich.

I preferred how the little sister used to look, not the revised version.

I also agree that too many characters were added. Even for a regular story this many primary and secondary characters is just going to be a mess, for an AVN it just dilutes the attention from the girls you like with a bunch of extras and you probably end up with too much text and time devoted to characters you don't actually care about. Heck, even if you do like them, keeping it all straight is a problem (who's she again? What is she on about? Do I care?)

As was said above, a tighter focus allows for a better crafted story - or porn experience if that is all you are doing.

Of all the extra dorm girls the only one I like is the swimmer, the rest can go on their own merry way, thank you very much.

I don't hate the clone story, even if it is absolutely ridiculous.

Well, considering that most of us in here strongly disagree with you regarding this I'd say that Trope is doing something right.

If you don't like full Harem games, why do you play them?

It is really hard to take this "specific" criticism seriously.

The game gives the players many chances to decide if they want to add each girl to the Harem. #1
The game offers a built-in system to specify if each girl is in a relationship with the MC or not. #2
The game is made to cater to player choice, specifically on who the MC is on a relationship with. #3
The game allows for a Zero to Full experience, how many LI's is player choice. #4
The story is fictional, it is clearly marked as such, Ridiculous is your post. #5

Now, for some more personal points:

1- This game is a Harem game. If that is NOT your genre, why play it?
2- The type of game you, Kukipett, describe as ideal, is boring as hell.
3- Attention dilution is NOT a problem for anyone that plays this, only you buttfan.
4- Too much text only says things about YOU, and your reading level.
5- There are almost no secondary characters here, it's all in your head.
6- Side stories, or, characters back stories, are the just desserts this Dev gifts us with.
7- The release schedule is between 1 and 1 and a half months, too much for your failing brain... I hear Phosphorus is good.
8- Foggy brains and inability to read aren't really reasons to prefer lesser stories, but, do what you need and leave us alone.
9- Characters you don't care about, well, Zero. Commenters, oh yeah, I just found two.

Just... go away... you guys don't deserve something as good as this.

Peace :(

I disagree with almost everything in your post. But I'm biased, since I wrote the story. I will answer some of your points:
* So many girls since the aunt became pregnant? Seven. Five of them are students. The game is called My Dorm, not My Empty House With Only My Family. That should be a different game.
* "Adding the clone war and those stupid shootings" and "add some weird side story that doesn't make much sense"? The "weird side story" was there since the start. Did you read the intro? We saw Eva (redhead clone for those who can't remember names, FTWCRN) and the first shooting before the Aunt (Norah, FTWCRN) got pregnant. So your point is moot.
*"And when you add the fact that you have one or two month between updates it makes thing very foggy, you don't remember really who is who and what's going on"? Really? Have you ever watched a multi-season TV series? Can't you remember the characters from one year to the next? Have you ever read a monthly comic with 30 pages where not all characters show in every issue? Have you ever played any in-development AVN? Most of them have development cycles beyond "one or two months"
*"The best VNs"? For who? Each player has their favorites. So you should rewrite that as "The VNs that I like the most."

Emma (like other characters) shows her evolution through look changes. You say you like how she used to look. Which version?
1754632295500.png 1754632324807.png
Without changing her looks (and risking players not liking the new look), the second one wouldn't have existed.

You say too many characters were added and that you only like Debbie (the swimmer, FTWCRN) of the new girls. I can agree on the second part, since tastes are personal, but other players like Lisa (her sister, FTWCRN), Kim (vitiligo girl FTWCRN), Saira (Indian girl FTWCRN), or Kate (lesbian chubby girl FTWCRN). Some players even like them all. Who should I have added? All? I did. None? You would have lost Debbie (and players would be asking why the game is called My Dorm). Only the one that YOU like? Selfish.

Instead of answering this, "it just dilutes the attention from the girls you like with a bunch of extras and you probably end up with too much text and time devoted to characters you don't actually care about. Heck, even if you do like them", I would say that replacing every "you" with "I" makes more sense.

In the first posts of the thread, you can see I said it was going to be a big cast game. I didn't deceive anyone. In the first two updates, 11 LIs were introduced. 14 by the third update. And we knew 11 more were coming since the first release. The only "surprises" were Meemaw, Betty, and Kiara. Kiara was hinted at since update #4. Meemaw since update #8. Betty arrived at update #10. We are in update #26, and I don't think any of the LIs are side characters (or main characters).

Yeah, she looked absolutely fine there! That little top is a good look on her and Trope95 (and the other girls) should take note! (Clarification, "the other girls" meaning other than Erika, not other than Trope  )
It's a shame only one reaction per post is allowed. I wanted to react with the  and :haha:, but the system doesn't allow me.

On-topic, someone is taking note of that look (not the exact same top, but...) and will be shown in the next update (already on Patreon/SS preview for the next update, so subscribers know who I'm meaning).

IMO game is individualized so that everyone can play their own way. I do that. The game is expanded, so it is necessary to have things that like them more and those that less. And that's probably what it is about. If I liked absolutely everything would be a bit strange. And a bit suspicious.
Despite this, or maybe that's why I play this game from the very beginning and it is constantly my number 1. And I look forward to every update. ;)

It has to be said, I play a lot of games with really nice LIs in them, and I'll usually just play them happily without such reactions, but multiple times in My Dorm (and even just in this last update, with Norah, Erika, Debbie...) someone (or multiple someones) appears and makes me think "Aah nice!" (Think slight drooling while saying it, I guess, for an idea of the effect.)
