I understand you. There are a lot of acronyms I don't get (I made some jokes on the thread about it). But I won't complain because, in an English-speaking forum, someone uses USA instead of United States of America because, to me, the "correct" acronym is EE. UU. or EE. UU. A. (weird, I know, but I could write a book about acronyms in Spanish).

I understand non-natives like you and me are at risk of losing some of the communication that other players try to convey, but that also happens when they use a word I have never heard/read. People talk (write) like that, and we won't change it.

Ironically, I would immediately recognize EE. UU. as Estados Unidos. I'm basically on the northern end of the U.S. Southwest, so Mexican Spanish is commonly spoken (and written) here.
