In Google, you can use the "web" results rather than "All" or "AI" to facilitate this as well. I have it set up to use that by default but can't remember how that was done.I die a little inside whenever I see someone say "I asked chatGPT [something they could easily get an accurate answer for by just using a standard google search]" and then regurgitate the output of the probabilty machine/chatbot like it's gospel.
For real, just google it, use Ublock to kill the "AI overview" from google too.
Maybe if enough people do that they'll stop including them by default.
And maybe then we won't have to burn a fucking forest down every time someone wants a simple question answered.
Edit: remember kids, the "AI" isn't intelligent, it doesn't know things, and it isn't your friend. It just selects the next character for its output based on what it thinks will get the best result for the input it has been given and the output it has already generated then outputs that.
And "AI" should absolutely stand for "Artificial Illusion of Intelligence", since that's basically what it is.
