Bud Spencer & Terence Hill made me laugh so much for so many years...
Spaghetti Western For The Win.
I remember watching "Trinitá" in a crowded cinema in Angola. It was not the usual Cinema we went to, but, I won the right to watch the movie on that day because we went to the Dentist and I behaved (I was and still am terrified of Dentists, if you aren't FU) so my Mother tried hard to find tickets, the only place was there. It was in a predominantly black area, so, unsurprisingly, the Cinema was 99% full of black people. Neither me nor my mom cared, but the surprise in their faces was obvious.
As soon as the movie started, however, with Terence Hill on a stretcher behind his horse, we were all the same color. The color of laughter. And on, and on, and on it went... every slap, every dodge, every punch, we all laughed, loudly and without limits, slapped legs, grabbed belies, the whole nine yards.
I spent many hours in Cinema rooms, never again did I feel so connected, so in tune, as in that unforgettable afternoon. I even forgot that I had taken out a tooth, that I was bleeding, that I was 7... I also learned that my mother kept her promises. No matter what.
Thanks Gino.
