It will need some adjusting (achievements and other things Steam asks for), and then through the approval process. Depending on several things (the sales results for Season 1 being one of them), I hope to have it ready in the first quarter next year.Speaking of Steam catching up. Season 2 is already done right? Will it be coming to Steam soon as well?![]()
I suspect it'll go "live" in different regions with different CDNs at different times. They should have it all going in 24-48 hours. It will need some adjusting (achievements and other things Steam asks for), and then through the approval process. It would be great (for me as a dev) if Season 1 is released in October 2025, Season 2 in March 2026, and Season 3 in September 2026. The current game would be there in less than a year, and Season 4 will be finished or almost finished by then.
BUT I don't want the Steam/GoG release to impact too much on the new updates development, so I can't give exact dates.
It's a pretty complex algorithm too - heavily weights popular games based on #reviews * good:bad * time period. The more good you get in a short time period, the heavier the weighting gets, and the more likely the game is to pop up in the storefront. Hopefully a bunch of people can do exactly what you asked.Guys, I need a favor from those of you who have bought the game on Steam. Please leave a review. Someone just told me that the Steam algorithm mostly ignores games with fewer than 10 reviews (and My Dorm only has one, right now).
Leave a fair review (you know I'm not into fake ones), but leave one, please.
I think in this case mostly what Trope aims for is that the game receives a score, which is one of the variables Steam uses in the algorithm. A game needs to have a certain amount of reviews before a score is applied in the first place. It's a pretty complex algorithm too - heavily weights popular games based on #reviews * good:bad * time period. So the game will come on GOG aswell?BUT I don't want the Steam/GoG release to impact too much on the new updates development, so I can't give exact dates.
I asked Trope about this before too and he mentioned that he first wants to focus on releasing 0.28 and will then look at the GoG release for which he received a list of tasks he needs to complete. So the game will come on GOG aswell?
Any timeframe for that?
Just considering if i should buy it on Steam or wait for GOG...![]()
Adding to Johnny's answer above, I wrote them last week with some questions. Waiting for their answer. So the game will come on GOG aswell?

I'm playing right now the unpatched version and this is what showsI've been waiing for this to come out on Steam! So exciting.
I support Trop on patreon so I've played S1 but still couldn't wait to buy and play it agan on Steam. (I also left a Steam review.)
Trope95 - one thing. When playing the Steam (clones) version the character profiles show the family relationships.
Martha is shown as "(MC)'s Mom". And Emma as "(MC)'s Sister". etc.
Not sure if that was intentional but I wanted to call it out.
There are also places where the dialog duplicates.
When the MC gets home and is talking with Marthe she says:
---- How come you've arrived four days early and why didn't you tell me you were coming?
I press space or click and the next line is:
---- Why didn't you tell me you were coming?
I noticed duplicates like that once or twice prior to that scene as well.
I apologize. The quoted "mother" becomes mother (without the quotes) in the patched version. Remember, Emma doesn't know she's not her real mother, so the quoting is correct.
If you're playing the Steam version, are your achievements triggering? Mine are not, none so far. It gives me the in game notification of a Steam achievement, but not the official Steam ping. Did zero-day patch mess that up, or maybe the Ipatch?I apologize.
I started my playthrough with the patch file and then removed it just to see how the dialog varies.
And it does - without the patch file (or with the patch file but selecting Clones on the main menu) the dialog changes "Mom" to "Martha".
But the Profiles setting must be within the save once you start a game because it still showed the family profile info even though the patch file was gone or I set the game to Clones.
If I start a new game with the patch file gone then it shows "mother" with the quotes.
In my QA days I would describe this as a lab issue, not a real user issue. Since real users won't be moving the patch file in and out like I did.
So disregard.![]()
Most of the time, mods (any mod I think) breaks Steam Achievements ...If you're playing the Steam version, are your achievements triggering? Mine are not, none so far. It gives me the in game notification of a Steam achievement, but not the official Steam ping. Did zero-day patch mess that up, or maybe the Ipatch?
Will make me sad if it's the Ipatch.
Maybe having save files of both the Patreon and Steam version are messing with it?![]()
0 day patch ? what is that for ? and where did you get it from, ? for all I know the steamversion has the interface from S2 and there is already a Mod build inIf you're playing the Steam version, are your achievements triggering?
