Pretty sure that would have worked on Win 10 too ...
Anyway, this is the excuse I was waiting for to do a full clone playthrough ... it's not like I'm waiting for Steam to catch up to finish the family story.

It will need some adjusting (achievements and other things Steam asks for), and then through the approval process. Depending on several things (the sales results for Season 1 being one of them), I hope to have it ready in the first quarter next year.Speaking of Steam catching up. Season 2 is already done right? Will it be coming to Steam soon as well?
It would be great (for me as a dev) if Season 1 is released in October 2025, Season 2 in March 2026, and Season 3 in September 2026. The current game would be there in less than a year, and Season 4 will be finished or almost finished by then.
BUT I don't want the Steam/GoG release to impact too much on the new updates development, so I can't give exact dates.

I suspect it'll go "live" in different regions with different CDNs at different times. They should have it all going in 24-48 hours.

Day Zero patch released on Steam. It fixes some translation issues and replaces some old images with new ones.

Guys, I need a favor from those of you who have bought the game on Steam. Please leave a review. Someone just told me that the Steam algorithm mostly ignores games with fewer than 10 reviews (and My Dorm only has one, right now).

It's a pretty complex algorithm too - heavily weights popular games based on #reviews * good:bad * time period. The more good you get in a short time period, the heavier the weighting gets, and the more likely the game is to pop up in the storefront. Hopefully a bunch of people can do exactly what you asked.

I think in this case mostly what Trope aims for is that the game receives a score, which is one of the variables Steam uses in the algorithm. A game needs to have a certain amount of reviews before a score is applied in the first place.It's a pretty complex algorithm too - heavily weights popular games based on #reviews * good:bad * time period. I asked Trope about this before too and he mentioned that he first wants to focus on releasing 0.28 and will then look at the GoG release for which he received a list of tasks he needs to complete.So the game will come on GOG aswell?
Any timeframe for that?

I support Trop on patreon so I've played S1 but still couldn't wait to buy and play it agan on Steam. (I also left a Steam review.)
Trope95 - one thing. When playing the Steam (clones) version the character profiles show the family relationships.
Martha is shown as "(MC)'s Mom". And Emma as "(MC)'s Sister". etc.
Not sure if that was intentional but I wanted to call it out.
There are also places where the dialog duplicates.
When the MC gets home and is talking with Marthe she says:
---- How come you've arrived four days early and why didn't you tell me you were coming?
I press space or click and the next line is:
---- Why didn't you tell me you were coming?
I noticed duplicates like that once or twice prior to that scene as well.
After the first dinner back when MC is saying goodbye to Norah he thinks "Tia Norah" rather than "Aunt Norah".
Ok, I'll stop with the QA. Old habits.

I'm playing right now the unpatched version and this is what shows
The quoted "mother" becomes mother (without the quotes) in the patched version. Remember, Emma doesn't know she's not her real mother, so the quoting is correct.
About the repeated dialogues, in that instance, it's a mistake. I will fix it asap and check for others.
