Patreon is not steam. You're not buying the game or the update, you'll get it fir free either via a leak or when it goes public. That's not always the case btw, Resident Evil modders love to paywall their stuff. Gold members aren't buyers, they are funders. What they pay for is not early access but devs ability to (I presume) work full time. Man's gotta eat and without them it's back to boring 9-5.
