It should have ended already but no, let's go with a remake
Should this get its own thread? The game was completed before the remake right?
If you are playing as Ha-Young how can she cheat on you? If the Dev means her boyfriend, who is the MC only if you play as him, why doesn't he say that?
It's not a remake. It's just adding content so you can play as Ha-Young from the beginning, which qualifies it as an update. For it to be a remake, the original content would have to be revamped, which is mainly not occurring.
The MC of New Earth by MiZtyl, is supposedly a clone of the original MC of this game. And his girlfriend is a clone of another character in this game. At various points, he also has flashbacks of scenes from My Future Wife, from the perspective of this game's MC. The AI that controls the ship that takes them to New Earth, turns out to be created with the downloaded consciousness of the daughter, of this game's MC, that he'll subsequently have with Hui-Bing. She becomes a scientist, like her mother, and will feature heavily in this game's sequel, if it's ever made. Later she's put in charge of the 'New Earth' project.

I have now played the remake version and I do not get some of the critic made here!
There is new and changed stuff already in this early part of the game. For instance, if you go for Hui-Bing from the start you now can get a vision from the future where she calls you her boyfriend. That was not in the old episode 1, which was pushing to a degree for Ha-Young from the start over Hui-Bing and Elly. You can also get another vision of an event, from part 2 I think of the cuff, where you "help" Hui-Bing with her biology lessons.
I really like this change!
It never sat quite right with me that you had to gaslight or go behind Ha-Young´s back to have a romance with Hui-Bing or Elly to the end of the game. There were options for getting into a loving relationship with both Hui-Bing and Elly, still if you went for one of these, the routes ended with a nice end, but already after eprsode 2 the latest.
Currently it seems to me that on MC/Karl routes you can now fully romance Hui-Bing and Elly and that you can still stay close with Ha-Young throughout the game.
Now time for playing the Ha-Young part.

I really liked Elly, but stopped after Episode 2 which had barely 10 minutes of Elly content. So I've been keen to see whether the remake is more balanced. Sounds like it does, but I might wait until it's a bit further along to play.

Hi again! No problem, I phrase it differently. I know that Ha-Young is the girl in the focus, even if you can have relationships with Hui-Bing and Elly too. In the old version having a romance with Hui-Bing/Elly meant you either had to go behind Ha-young´s back to be able to play all parts or your romance and life with Hui-Bing/Elly went well and happy, but ended after part 2.
Now in the new version I found a vision Karl is having about Hui-Bing being his girlfriend, if you want to romance her, which was not in the old part 1. I find it great that we now can have romances with Hui-Bing and Elly without having to go behind Ha-Young´s back

Not wanting to disappoint you, but there's no plan for Hui-Bing & Elly like you said.
If this is still the time that I'm developing My Future Wife, I will have a poll to make sure if my patrons also want what you said.
Unfortunately, unlike those who think this rework is to milk patrons, this rework is only expected to be completed in 2 months (January & February). That's why there's no time to add so many scenes.
I'll be back with My Summer in March. At that time, I will consult with close patrons to know if they also want what you said. If they also want it, there will be a poll for all patrons to vote. If the poll result is positive, I will do it. If not, I will focus on completing My Summer.

I understand your plans and reasons for this rework and look forward to see the results. But as I said, I am quite happy with the (few) coming new scenes and the rewritten old ones for Hui-Bing and Elly, even if their romances will still end after part 2. I told you that my pet problem with the romance storylines of Hui-Bing and Elly was that at one point you had to betray or having a big blow-up with Ha-Young to reach these happy ends.
It would already help much, if we could end part 1 with the options of having either Ha-Young, Hui-Bing or Elly as our dedicated girlfirend, so that during part 2 we do not have to betray one girl to reach the Hui-Bing amd Elly happy ends where they come together and found a family. So e.g. Ha-Young and Hui-Bing can stay besties instead of drifting apart, since you would be Hui-Bing´s boyfriend since during part 1.
