Maybe the mom is the one who becomes Yamato's girlfriend in the end, hence the title.

This is the only thing I want out of this game. The rest of it has been good (I have not played the most recent update because everyone just says it's a) a flashback, and b) a flashback about a character whose background really does not matter) but Mio possibly secretly being a cheating slut is the plot thread that drew me in in the first place. I don't care if he'd have to retcon something or pull an explanation out of his ass to explain away that one scene that proves they are not the same person, that's the mystery that really has teeth to it imo.

Well, dev could make a third 'Akemi is Mio + Mio has a slutty past' branch from the point where MC starts suspecting Mio is Akemi, so this branch wouldn't have MC watching Akemi's stream with Mio sleeping next to him and any scenes proving they are different girls, like Ota's POV where Ota clearly tells he went to Akemi and filmed sex with her to fuck around with MC later.
Otherwise it will be a very bad retcon.

In every route Mio has not been Akemi. And, honestly, I think it's fine like that. I think it's hotter using Akemi as just a template of what Mio eventually becomes like rather than her starting the game as Akemi. Or Mio copying Akemi on stream and teasing the MC

This is my ideal scenario. I wouldn't even need this branch to end up with Mio actually being Akemi (although of course I wouldn't mind it obviously). But the exploration of that mystery is itself where a lot of the juice in that concept is for me.

Well I finally played 0.19 after almost skipping it because of all the complaining about it being Ota's backstory. It was not just Ota's backstory and actually really good, as always.

maybe in a few updates the dev will go towards her or mio's mom and I'm eager for both. didn't even played this last update, gonna skip it. waiting for 0.20
