Project Update

The next 24hrs of game time is done. About 1k images and animations. Most of the preview images already teased will not be in this release. Those will be in the third (v0.6). So a good chunk of that release is, thankfully, already done.

The more I think about it, the more appropriate 20% increments are as they are natural spots in the story to pause on. So next update will be v0.4 and deals more with Viv and her mindset. After that will be v0.6 and deals more with Hutch (but not exclusively) and the limits of what he's willing to endure (if there are any). v0.8 builds towards the final climax (hehe) and of course, v1.0 deals with the end and the epilogue.

Curiosity question: Are you guys more engaged, more interested, in this story because there are no choices? Are other games more boring because every possibility exists and there is no mystery? Or is MHB just an exception and choices are always a high priority?

I don't want to derail this thread talking about other games, but there's a few well know games I've given up on because it was just to many paths and, even with a mod, I got knocked off the paths I wanted and was too frustrated to try and start over. I will mention an exception, Chasing Sunsets, by name cause it's my favorite. It essentially had three paths, which was good, but I didn't feel one ending was significantly different than the others (girl A, girl B, or both).

I choose not to have multiple paths because every event plays into the next so multiple paths would require, literally, multiple stand alone stories. Hutch couldn't bust out of the bathroom stall and bitch slap Chris without rewriting every scene that comes later. If my story is just an exception to the 'multiple paths' rule, then I'm happy to be that exception.

For me, there's one thing that takes away "credibility" from the whole story. There aren't many situations that show me that Hutch and Vivian are married. If you take the text out of the story, there are no actions that make me think they are husband and wife (except when Vivian is supposed to touch his dick in bed and Hutch rejects her). They don't have sex, I think (I'm not sure) that they don't even kiss on the mouth.

That added to the "ultra-fast" start of the dinner at Christian's house. You arrive at your husband's boss's house, who you barely know, and for 20 or 30 minutes you're fucking him in the backyard WITH YOUR HUSBAND IN THE LIVING ROOM! Then you agree to sleep with his boss and spend the night moaning like crazy WITH YOUR HUSBAND ON THE COUCH. And to top it off you get up to go to the kitchen to get something to drink COMPLETELY NAKED and not content with that you fuck her boss again with YOUR HUSBAND IN THE NEXT ROOM.


I love the game because Vivian is very attractive. But I'm sorry, I've played it several times and each time it seems to make less sense to me. Vivian's regretful faces make me feel so sorry because it seems like she loves her husband. But everything she does shows me that she doesn't. Being objective, the character construction is not well done.

There's a lot of things here :

- For the signs they are married : Not shocking for me as they are married for 22 years and they are in tough place right from the start of the story. Not surprising to not be touchy feely.

- i ranted myself about Vivian's stupidity for that night. I think maybe the dev has sacrified some credibility for the sake of the impact of the scene seen from Hutch's pov and to empathize Christian's sociopathic tendencies.

- Vivian's situation is more complicated : she reluctantly liked the sex, and if she's attracted to Christian, tbh, she doesn't even like the guy. I think that at least she doesn't want to hurt her husband. Dk if she really loves him, bc her actions make no sense. I will see in the next update how does she think now she has all infos (Hutch knew from the get go, Christian is a liar).

I think she will come to resent huch to justify herself :

-talking about shortcomings on his work
-maybe she will resent Huctch still not touching her
- others berating

my thoughts on this... take it as joke.... sex is basically cardio... which is working out... which produce endorphins... which make people happy... so all the more reason to have a regular workout.

have to agree with the first part about sacrifising credibilty. the 2nd part dont think it needed to be emphasised... i mean its all in the title. even then different people different takes.

I will see in the next update how does she think now she has all infos (Hutch knew from the get go, Christian is a liar).

her mindset is that of thinking christian knows her husband better than her. christian has already completely changed vivian and hutch's reasoning with his manipulations. they have been getting more distant with each other since the boss got involved. and about resenting hutch... yes that seems more logical considering the sneak peaks on update 3 and from dev stating what each of the next 4 updates will be. and there might be some development with the other characters which might push vivian against hutch.

But the fact remains that Hutch does not kiss her or touch her in any loving way except the one hand hold. I think when the open stuff starts happening HE will withdraw more... but she will still be professing the love.

That is classic Netorare. Initial reluctance, starts to enjoy it despite herself then embraces the pleasure. JAV NTR follow this pattern all the time. If done well, it can be quite good.

I like JAV too. As I am sure you know, a lot of them do this. Some studios, like Attackers, start out where the wife is forced, but the wife eventually starts liking it. Sometimes its a wife who wants to get pregnant and starts messing around with brother-in-law, father-in-law, or someone else and it starts out as a means to have a baby, but both parties start liking it later. JAV has a lot of variations on this theme. Sometimes it is the wife getting cucked. The wife can't have a baby so she asks her mother or sister to have one for her with the husband. The two start out reluctantly, but start liking it later.

I agree on the part of resentment. She is resents that Hutch was not able to man up and defend their own marriage. How the hell Hutch let me sleep with his boss? I picture it as a game (that she may not be fully aware) where she can test the limits of their relations. How far can she goes until my stupid husband act like one. So maybe she will starting developing disappontment towards Hutch,

So screw you I am not going to be the loving husband anymore. He gave her the option after opening the marriage to do it ... or not do it... Go do your thing till you do not want to anymore. that's the best ending.... but fucked up in a ntr/cheating vn. this won't be the ending as a ntr story it ends with wife leaving and having her happy ending or the husband becomes a cuck. this was posted by someone earlier in this thread about the different ntr variants or some such dont ask me for reference.

IMO they are all filled with ridiculous scenarios and with unbelievable actors, all just going for the cheap sookie-lala ending.

SC games has a chance for something original, something different, even if the story is a bit far fetched, it is still interesting... Take the chance!

Plenty of theories and discussions going on about Vivian's actions. The Dev said that this next part will delve more into her mindset. I think I'll hold off any further psycho-analysis until we get to see the goodies next update. Then hopefully some of my mysteries will be answered.

I agree. This developer created this out of a passion for 3d art. There is no reason to milk. I have stated earlier that SC has set a standard going forward. All others seem boring at this point. Keep up the great work, ignore any detractors, follow your passion!
