Project Update

The next 24hrs of game time is done. About 1k images and animations. Most of the preview images already teased will not be in this release. Those will be in the third (v0.6). So a good chunk of that release is, thankfully, already done.

The more I think about it, the more appropriate 20% increments are as they are natural spots in the story to pause on. So next update will be v0.4 and deals more with Viv and her mindset. After that will be v0.6 and deals more with Hutch (but not exclusively) and the limits of what he's willing to endure (if there are any). v0.8 builds towards the final climax (hehe) and of course, v1.0 deals with the end and the epilogue.

Curiosity question: Are you guys more engaged, more interested, in this story because there are no choices? Are other games more boring because every possibility exists and there is no mystery? Or is MHB just an exception and choices are always a high priority?

I don't want to derail this thread talking about other games, but there's a few well know games I've given up on because it was just to many paths and, even with a mod, I got knocked off the paths I wanted and was too frustrated to try and start over. I will mention an exception, Chasing Sunsets, by name cause it's my favorite. It essentially had three paths, which was good, but I didn't feel one ending was significantly different than the others (girl A, girl B, or both).

I choose not to have multiple paths because every event plays into the next so multiple paths would require, literally, multiple stand alone stories. Hutch couldn't bust out of the bathroom stall and bitch slap Chris without rewriting every scene that comes later. If my story is just an exception to the 'multiple paths' rule, then I'm happy to be that exception.

possible also. but by hutch's demeanor so far i just get this feeling like he still loves his wife but hates her at the same time. he wants to tell her he loves her but he doesnt love her.. sort of like he know the woman she is now he doesnt love anymore but the memory of the wife he had he does love .. if that makes any sense lol. its like he is just numb to the whole thing at the end.

For Hutch, I guess it goes back to the old adage: If you love someone set them free, if they comes back, it's meant to be. Hopefully Hutch gets something out of this arrangement. Lets see what SC Stories has install for us.

Then they take off to some VIP room with Christian and whoever... for some business... so to spaek. Then in the sceon pic... he sees them coming back.

I’ve stated a similar premise to those a accusing him of being a “beta cuck.” He’s not. A true cuckold enjoys watching another with his wife/GF. Hutch clearly does not (at least at this juncture.) He is in shock for most of the episode. Frozen. He then must come to grips with the situation. I think he has a lot of self-loathing. He cannot get past the fact that he loves his wife, despite her transgressions. A part of him feels guilty as well. Guilt that he failed to give his wife what she needed. Guilt that he got them into the situation for failing at work (but did he?) Guilt that he just didn’t punch his boss. His boss masterfully plays upon this in his talks with him. Few, if any, stories on this site explore such raw emotions. Hutch is in an emotional caul de sac of his own creation.
