Did she? Vivian only ever saw Addison at the front desk of the office, alone. She never saw her anywhere close to Hutch. (Or by "which she did" do you mean Addison interacted with Hutch, rather than Vivian saw her interact with Hutch?

I admit, I did feel it was a bit odd for Vivian to be asking Hutch about Addison, and having a nightmare involving her, considering she has had nothing ("on camera") to tell her that Hutch has ever even spoken to Addison beyond the usual colleague pleasantries. Is Vivian reading this thread?

True... We see her a few times in chapter 1 .. then nothing in chapter 2. Not sure if she will fit in chapter 3 given the previews we already have.

Vivian being raped and clearly distraught about it was a bridge too far for me. Especially since there are no consequences. Christian sets Vivian up to be assaulted, disregards her clear break down, physically restrains her, and takes advantage of her. I really liked the Rain and Sunshine arc. The story overall has great writing and art design. I really look forward to what SC Stories does in the future. Nevertheless, can't support rape being dismissed out of hand like that. Since Vivian really happened to be pimped out to Christian's business partner and she liked it eventually and accepts being a whore and property of Christian, I guess she has little feelings for Hutch now. She also justifies her actions by delusional logic. I hope she will really hit the rock bottom as a local whore in future updates. I can imagine a scene where she is sent by Christian to some party as a sex performer where Hutch is also present as a spectator. He looks at her with disdain like "yeah you are just a whore, you are not worth it". Similar to the "ass to ass" scene from the movie Requiem for a Dream.

It might have seemed "off base", but it was explained in the combination of her thoughts before going out and then (more specifically) in her conversation with Sunshine before Rain appeared. She needed to find out if it was her or if it was Christian, pretty much.

Some of the forum reactions were predictable. The first chapter was so engrossing and rightly received accolades that crap queens were just itching to shite all over the next chapter. I think this is the rare adult KN when you have to wait until it is completed to render judgement. Sure some may have disliked this chapter for x or y reason, but it’s taken out of context. It’s like reading Jaws and stopping after the second shark attack assuming you know who will live or die. There were enough clues (or false clues?) that I have no idea what the end will be. It was telling that Vivian had a dream of the exact ending that many on here want. So, that ain’t happening. It was cleverly done and not sure if the Dev inserted that as a result of various posts on this forum. If not, brilliant. If so, cheeky. As this chapter progressed, I had a feeling of unease. Vivian is clearly going down a path orchestrated by Christian.…or is she? Their discussion regarding lies was fascinating. Who was telling whom what they want to hear? Christian? Vivian? Hutch!? Really looking forward to Chapter 3 and Hutch’s story. That, to me, sets this KN apart. Yeah, like the lewds, but really want to see where the story goes.

I found it interesting that she found it “empowering.” It’s been stated many times that she is an intelligent person. Could she harness this new found power (her sexuality) to her advantage? To Hutch’s advantage? Who is lying to who? Is she telling Christian what HE wants to hear? Is Christian the all powerful manipulator? He seems ripe for an epic fall. Remember, it has been stressed that Vivian is an excellent researcher and Hutch is “great with numbers.” Man…I just don’t know. This chapter, I think, set out so many questions under the guise of predictability. Yeah, we all kinda assumed Vivian was going to unleash her inner slut. It was fun watching it unfold, but the chapter was sprinkled with so many interesting comments that I really started to think there was more than the obvious. Guess we shall see.

The imagery and storytelling is so good that you feel empathy for X or Y.
That's the mark of a VERY well-told story. The annoying thing is that we'll have to wait a whole bunch of months and chapters 4 and 5 to see any real progress.
( maybe / probably I'm wrong ) but I think that the next chapter, beyond the fact that it will be very interesting to know Hutch's REAL feelings, won't advance the story that much.
