I'm at the bit where she returns home after her first restaurant date with Christian and after her antics in the car I already can't fucking stand her. He already caught them in the garden before that. What difference would it have made, it's not like he could make her unfuck him after the fact. The way I see it his love for her ended right then and there. Grab a knife and kill the bastard? Kill the whore too? Aside from the shock of what he was put through by someone he had trusted with his heart, he still had his son to think about.

I'm just hoping he eventually gets his revenge one way or another unlikely though it may be given the way most of these stories are written.

I'm not saying a good/happy ending for the husband, he was made a cuckold and there's no going back to happily ever after after that. But revenge, or moving on/upgrading etc could at least be bittersweet, a karmic rebalancing.

From what I've seen there are quite a few NTR games where you can get revenge. They just happen to be of the rpgm anime variety - a crowd that often has a better grasp of NTR than the western 3dcg crowd. Just like you do sometimes see the victims of cuckolding "step up": the most popular example of NTR across media is possibly the Berserk anime with the warrior protagonist chopping off his own arm to break free going berserk in his desperate attempt to save his lover from gang rape. He still loses but eventually recovers even if permanently changed for it. Not to mention how in real life plenty of cuckolded men and women eventually murder those who wronged them, tv crime channels are certainly full of those cases. Most marriages end in divorce and most people do get cheated on, they don't have to be doormats for it.

The wife is no longer much of an interesting character while the husband can still be, but not by being as basic as she is, not as just a doormat.

Oh, I know better than to hope for anything "good" in a story like this. I just learned not even to expect anything other than continued misery for the cuck. I'll take your word for the eastern or rpgm anime since I never tried that. I've understood for some time that eastern v. western ideas about NTR, NTS, etc. are wildly different.

I'll settle for any ending where Vivian is left alone, abandoned, and ashamed. And I expect I won't even get that.

It wouldn't have made a difference, that was my point. I was agreeing with you on that part, but I think he's as bad as her for allowing it to happen and continue. Son or not, I would have put a stop to it and humiliated both the boss and the wife. So the way I see it, the husband gets everything he deserves. I don't feel bad for him at all.
