A couple of you have made some scary accurate predictions (of course, I'm not saying who).

There are quite a few outlandish predictions so I'm hoping it's not those lol

The backyard scene was way before kitchen and toilet event, so we couldn't see or know anything about the backyard event and until now we are just assuming what could have happened there.
For me like TonyMurray already mentioned it's quite possible that Vivian took the initiative at the dinner after saying in silent "I love you" to Hutch where he was given the task to write a list by Christian and was ordered to stay where he is.
Christian could have asked Vivian if she needs a drink, she denied and asked Christian if they could have a talk in private.

Oh I'm absolutely sure Christian is the dominant one with it all, that's clear, just as it's clear Vivian is not happy with the situation. I'm just saying that it's possible Vivian realised this very early on (she's smart, after all) and she spent a lot of time going over the possible outcomes, then in the car ride to Christian's she made up her mind that there was only one likely outcome that would work for them.

So I'm saying she could have given Christian an easy opening (no pun intended) when it came to getting started in the backyard. She doesn't have to enjoy it, she doesn't have to be dominant for it, she just needs to tell Christian she knows what he wants and she's willing to do what it takes, so get it over with.

Exactly, so as not to drag this out unnecessarily and to show him some kind of domination/control she could have said that she knew what his intentions are and that he tested her and she kinda failed to get behind his plan but knowing full well that he knew exactly what she had planed with "dine & wine". By saying "let's cut it short" she might added "let's get it over with", turns to the table and shows Christian a view of her back.

When it comes to the backyard scene, I believe Vivian took the initiative, Christian was a bit handsy, and she knew he wanted it, so knowing she had limited time she offered it up, to speed up the process, and from the looks of it she didn't overly enjoy it.

I don't know if she wanted to, I think she thought she could flirt her way through the night, knowing he wanted it, but after what Christian said to Hutch in the living room she got desperate....

Christian could have mentioned after their engagement that he's curious to know and see what Hutch has worked out for his company and as we witnessed how Vivian was looking at Hutch's list it was written in stone that she might have to do it again...

When this all began Hutch should have just got in his car and left. We as the viewer would have got to see if the sex continues or does she go after him.

This was the first time the situation could have been stopped. She chose not to. Second time was in the kitchen when she offered him the opportunity to end it.

I think she would have left, I don't believe she intended on letting Christian ram her on the deck, but the deal was done and she thought she saved Hutch's job.
If Hutch would have left, she would have known he seen them, and went after him, I don't think she was "that" under Christian's spell yet, not until he gave her pleasure later that night did she become "confused"...

If Hutch keeps his job, then he wouldn't need Christian to pay for tuition. I think the moment of Sawyer needing tuition money was to add an extra layer of desperation.

but because of all the commotion at Hutch's work, it was Vivian who told her son that she would give him a check in a day or two. maybe the sequence of events will show how Sawyer gets a notice from the principal for not paying his tuition, he has to move out of the dorm immediately. Vivian gets another call from her son, and since Christian is next to her, he can declare that he will help her and go with her to solve this problem. maybe the creator of the story would show the scene of Vivian and Christian in the dorm, similar to the one in Christian's house.

Well, she gave Sawyer a check when she went to visit him. The game is set to cover a few days per update, at the current pace at least, so unless there's a bit of a time skip, the only way there should be any issues there is if the cheque (because I'm a Brit) bounces. There should be no reason for it to bounce, the money issues should have been stopped by Vivian's actions, and even if not, it wouldn't result in a sudden drain in their bank account.

It really doesn't mean she initiated it. She might have, but I'm picking she didn't. They came to an arrangement. And she accepted, and they fucked. And, Christian just pushed her into the bedroom stuff because she had accepted the proposition before that. I think the whole night was: you'll be my whore for tongiht, and I'll keep Hutch employed. But, you have to go along with everying, for the rest of the night. And, she agreed.

Think so too but Christian would have driven her there even if he didn't go in bet he would have kissed her.

Hmmm that would not exactly fit with Christian's statement where he said he let her always the door open to make her own decision.
He always tested her before to give her the feeling she might be in control and has more than just one option available.
He never blackmails her directly.
Like in the bathroom scene where Vivian proposes that every debt against Hutch is paid when she accepts to have sex with him (while already stroking his penis).

They had sex in the backyard and imo initiated by Vivian. Then we have the task Christian ordered Hutch to do and he failed without Christian saying it but also with the fact that Vivian saw the empty blog from Hutch. Now Vivian knowing Hutch failed and Christian insisting not to leave his house drunken and reaching out his hand to Vivian to bunk with him, she says to Hutch that she's a big girl and he should let her worry about herself.

What happens there is unclear but they seem to have a conversation whose content leaves a lot of room for conjecture.
Christian might have joked about him sleeping naked and hopes she wouldn't feel uncomfortable but also have insisted that she does not go to sleep in this dress. Now with him being naked and Vivian without slip (backyard) and bra also, it's hard to believe Christian wouldn't miss the opportunity with having a hard on to ask Vivian if she would mind to help him out with his problem...again the door is open and a chance for her to make a proposal.
