Well I've always been of the mindset that hutch is planning something against Christian, so Vivian would essentially be a pawn that hutch could use to further his plan , in regards to if he still wants her or not she doesn't need to know that till everything's said and done after all given all that's happened it's not like hutch owes her anything

I don't mean as in she never cheats , more along the lines of she has a wake up call so to speak and wants it all over to come back to hutch , so they help each other so to speak , now whether hutch wants her back that's a different story

I would say it's unlikely but I was mainly just putting out options around the situation itself rather than out and out committing to one if that makes sense

Plus it's not uncommon for couples to continue after an affair , me personally i wouldn't but it does happen

Personally I don't want them to stay together like you said that ship has sailed , I'm very much team hutch and Addison, I would just like hutch to use Vivian for personal gain to get the videos to use against Christian, and once hutch has revenge so to speak he can kick Vivian to the curb and she can be with Cristian all she likes , but hutch being hutch has since moved all there assets over to his name and leaves Vivian with nothing haha , personally I'd like to see something like that haha

I don't want to ruin your beautiful love story between Hutch and Addison, but if something like that were to happen, chances are someone would steal she from him too. Someone painful, like that annoying coworker of his (was his name Maxwell?).

That was my thinking I don't know how we missed this, plus there is the option that Vivian remains loyal to hutch and wants out , so would be able to get those videos as she is the inside woman or Addison or hutch but there is options and the potential for this

It also fits the blackmail tag because at this stage it's been made very clear that Vivian wasn't blackmailed and the door was open and she could leave at anytime

It doesn't matter that "the door was always open", Vivian was still blackmailed. We've covered emotional blackmail previously - he manipulated her into thinking she was being blackmailed, that's more than enough to satisfy the tag being there.

The videos idea reminds me of Coupling (the original and best UK version), where there's an episode called The Cupboard of Patrick's Love, that has videos he's recorded of all the women he's fucked:

On a meta-level one of the main differences in the thread is between people who are character-fixated and people who are plot-fixated.
All the speculations and discussions and technicalities about plots, what is more "probable" or "evidence-based" or "realistic" - they all (for example right now: if there will be a loyal path or something like that) can be traced back to character-archetypes we have in mind and we wish to see fulfilled, even if we deny it.

Thanks packard1928, that's about what I remembered. It said "these" will be addressed in time, but that doesn't mean we'll see a flashback or whatever of the evening. It just means that we'll have those questions answered. That could literally be Vivian giving a brief summary of why she did it, either to Hutch or to Christian (or even to a random someone else, so long as we as the audience sees it).

I'm not so sure by the logic your saying hutch is better of on his own never interacting with a female again as he would only end up losing them at some stage, obviously the story would never go that far down the line but I don't see it happening

I remember, when I read this back then, it made me for a moment doutbful if the dev really had the story all finished already. I don't know why.

Actually, I don't think Hutch has even noticed Addison. And I'm not entirely clear about Addison's intentions either. I think she's a character we still need to learn a lot more about.

I don't think it's remotely on hutch's radar that Addison has a thing for him for now , and he just sees her as kind and polite towards him so essentially a fairly solid workplace friendship

I agree personally I like the idea of hutch telling Vivian to sleep in another bed while she's working on this "project" for me I'd like to see hutch show Vivian that her actions have consequences or something along those lines , I don't just want it to be that it happens and they never talk about it and pretend to be a happy family
