Early on after the release of MHB, I fell into the trap of wanting to appease everyone. I made some posts, engaged in some ways I shouldn't have, and nearly altered the course of the story (such as adding/removing scenes, or creating a new ending). Some of my words my have been misleading, confusing, or outright false. I've regained my senses, reminded myself this is for myself first, and you guys are invited spectators that are free to jump off the train if it's not going where you want to go.

Is there a main character and who is it? Vivian the center of the story for sure. Everything essentially revolves around her and creates the scenarios the others respond to. But I don't thinks she's really all that interesting, to be honest. Her motivates, while leading to sexy adventures, are not that complicated. To say that Hutch is more interesting (but maybe not the main character), might be a better way to describe him. Vivian gets her inner monologue as a short cut. Some things are to complicated to express in still renders or would require more extensive blocks of dialogue that would turn off the viewer. While I don't 'identify myself as the main male protagonist' in these games, as a guy I still empathize with them. I guess my goal is to have the viewer (nearly all men) to have some connection to him. I don't want to give him an inner monologue because I hope that the reader will do that for themselves. To deduce his mindset from his actions/reactions. Or to just let it be a mystery. I'm not educated in story telling. Maybe this is a flawed idea.


I think the reader can ask that for themselves as well. Ultimately this story becomes yours when you watch it. You decide who the story is about. Some may empathize with Hutch. Some just want Vivian to be the town bicycle.

Yes, I think some people will jump off the train as the story progresses and the character arcs become set. I wish I could release v0.4 and v0.6 together as I think they balance each other out (vivian vs. hutch). But I won't do that to you guys. I will warn the newer participants here that v0.4 is focused on Vivian and v0.6 is focused on Hutch. Wasn't planned that way, just is.

Yes, I think the ending will divide the remaining viewers. But I hope with each scene, from simple text exchange to raunchy sex, the viewer understands why it is happening based on the character's personality. A one paragraph discription of MHB might make someone beleive it's just another cookie cutter NTR story, but I believe with each release you will say to yourself "Damn! I didn't see that coming" but also see that it fits the story. And that includes the ending.

Yes, the last teaser is from v0.4.

No, the original backyard/bedroom scene will not be extensively shown. Again, early on I was trying to appease people but showing it was not part of the original plan. It is addressed in a couple way in the next two releases but it won't be a fully rendered, retelling from Vivian's or Chris' POV. It needed to happen to establish the rest of the story. It happened quickly in order to get to the rest of the story.

Thank god you're not changing stuff to appease players. Doing that almost always ruins the story because they don't see the full vision like you do. People got interested because of the first release of the story, which was completely your story. Changing it now would be like game devs succumbing to the wants of investors, even though the reason they invested in the first place was because of the devs' success.

I think this is one reason why it's a good thing that the developer is doing this entirely on his own without expecting any monetary contributions. If that were happening, then there might be more potential for influence from what was perceived as popular demand.

So yes, SC Stories, do it according to your own vision. Even if I hate you for how it ends, I still will respect you.

Hehe...just kidding about the hate part. Used a bit of hyperbole there to exemplify my point.

i dont think its a matter of corrupting vivian but more of a idiotic rationalization of vivian. we have already seen vivian think she can do better and fail at least twice in the first update(can debate for more instances but i'll let others chip in). and more to come in the future updates i expect. so it's just the inner hoe coming to terms with the hoe everyone else see her to be in the kn:D. this is very in tune with what duke would say ... not as eloquent(but i gave it a try ;):cool: ).and signing out with a different duke quote ...pain. :ROFLMAO:

Okay, so the massive jumping the shark moment (for an NTR story) that showed us Vivian and Chris fucking in his backyard was due to trying to appease some fans?

If true, it makes a lot more sense now. Really doesn't fit the flow of the story, though the rest of it does recover the damage pretty well.

No, I understand his statement differently: he stuck to his original plan (i.e. not showing more), but for a moment contemplated if he should show more because people wanted more.

Yes you are right. What i was trying to say is i think Hutch has his motive to let this to happen. I want to believe he is not a wittol.
