The "narrator" IS undependable, that's at least my understanding, in the sense that he is not consistent and that he changes in what he shows us and where he is silent. It's like a movie, like a Hitchcock movie: the ambition is not to have a consistent voice (or several for that matter) of an auctorial narrator or of a perspective of a protagonist, but the aim is to manipulate the audience (in a good way): to be flexbile with regard to what is shown and what is not shown to achieve the maximum effect, to nudge the audience and to make the audience think and feel about the interesting aspects of the story. And everything else is downstream of that goal and changes therefore from scene to scene. There is not ONE perspective or voice in Psycho either.
in 0.2 we also have two narrators, in fact it is clear from the dev's words that it is difficult to determine who is the most important here. The story is about Vivian's “adventures” - as seen from her or Hutch's eyes. At the same time, the dev leaves us to interpret the emotions that are rolling over Hutch, without describing his thoughts. One could put it this way: Vivian is the object of the story but Hutch the subject

So much philosophizing and discussion about the perspective of the story and I'm sitting here all "So, when is the cheating wife game going to update so we can see who she bangs next?"
I reckon it's going to be her husband's boss.

I don't think there are any women developing games on this site. But if you think about it, story-wise, the person who writes this may be a woman.
Actually, there's quite a few women that develop games for instance the devs of Eruption imminent, futagenesis unveiled, It was raining that night, and if I'm not mistaken the dev of having a hard time are all women and also the dev of the red room Alisha oh and also Hanna's futile resistance is also a female dev.

Oh, I didn't know any of them. But can you tell that they are women from the games they develop or from the story itself? I think I'll be guessing the devs genders through their games from now on. :D

Why is this important so much? There are men and women Devs who make MMC and FMC games for male players because the majority of players are straight men. Then, there are women Devs who make some yaoi and lesbian/straight/bisexual FMC games for female players. Devs will rarely say this because a gender is not important.
