Now the thing that sticks out with me and I just can't wrap my head around , so from what we have seen Vivian has always maintained/stated that prior to Christian she's never had any prior thoughts of cheating or even thought about/considered another man
Now the bit that trips me up with this or that I'm on the fence about is that if she has truly never had those thoughts before I genuinely do not see how/understand how she could be seduced by Christian within 5 seconds of meeting him (her words) for me it just doesn't fit , so for me I just don't see how she could have her head turned in that way so to speak that quickly without either already having those thoughts or previous encounters ( now I'm not saying she has)
What I'm saying is that for someone to be married 25 odd years and has never had thoughts of cheating or other men during that time to be seduced/fall for another man within five seconds of meeting them doesn't really fit with the narrative of her claims of loyalty during the marriage
So in a nutshell 2+2 is not adding up to 4 in regards to the situation/information we have at the moment
My thoughts on it are that Vivian built herself up a picture of Christian based on what Hutch had been saying about testosterone levels - I don't think too much was said on camera, as most of it was on the way to Christian's house, but Hutch did say something the night before. Then Christian arrives while Vivian has worked herself up into a bit of a state. She's flustered at not being able to get in as expected, and she's been singularly focused on what she's going to say.
Side note, I always chuckle at the coding at the end of this particular line from the script itself:
Vivian: "Yes, he's very distraught about these events but I'm certain you'll be impressed with his...{/size}"
Christian presumably arrived shortly after Vivian, it's even possible he was there first, just sitting in his car finishing a phonecall. Either way, even if it's just on the walk up to the door, he was probably thinking to himself "Hello there..." He then gets right up close and practically scares Vivian, and while he's 100% prepared for what he's doing, she's at the opposite end of that scale. I think that's the "perfect storm" that led to her legs buckling, and he catches her, holds on a bit longer than necessary, and by then he's well on the way to his victory.
I do think Vivian's wording may be a bit incorrect though, as she asks how he could have seduced her in five seconds like that - the knees-buckling moment was just the start of the seduction, not the whole thing. It continued into the office, and was sealed with a kiss, so to speak.
Indirect evidence - such a post-college. What kind of ? you do not perceive ?
The ease with which Addi comes into direct contact with Hutch, reserved for those closest to her (hugging, stroking her head). Conversations that suggest something more. Great scene when Vi comes to the office
Dialogue about Addi
Chris - [Addi] gains on closer acquaintance
Vi - How many people get this far
Chris - [camera movement, looks at Hutch] Not that many.
Chris - to what do I owe the pleasure [of coming].
Vi- [camera movement, looks at Hutch].
However, the lack of a concrete statement that there was nothing between them on Hutch's part, as if he was circling the subject himself.
Dreams about Addison - as if she has a 3rd sense that senses such things.
On the other hand, knowledge of such a situation in the hands of CHris is truly gold. Especially if she actually sleeps with him, especially if she feels scorned by Hutch.
Ah okay, you've got the wording completely incorrect then, because what you've provided is not evidence (circumstantial or otherwise) of what you're saying it is. We literally have a couple of moments where Addison is being friendly and supportive of Hutch - and it should be noted that it's all one-way as well, Hutch doesn't do anything to reciprocate. Vivian having a dream about Hutch and Addison is so far away from being evidence that I don't know why you've mentioned it in the same post.
If the blond girl in bed is Addison . That might explain why a preview is of Addison (we think) and Vivian in a kiss. That said, maybe the next twisted chapter of Chris is to have them both in his bed ???
Don't forget that it's not necessarily from the game, so I wouldn't call it a preview. Can you imagine Vivian's reaction though if Christian does try to work a threesome with Addison? First the "she's your niece" bit, and then the "young and pretty" jealousy bit, and then the "thinking about Hutch and Addison" bit. I'd be surprised if it didn't go more the way of Reese than the way of Sunshine and Rain!
