I wrote once - I had such an assistant Addison, even behind the back they said she was my “office wife”. Also I know what is acceptable in relationships and what can already be a problem. There were practically only women in the company....

according to me (about Addison) - there is something to it, and we will find out soon.
In addition - the author himself points out - whether in the words of Maxwell or Chris that certain barriers have been crossed

Besides, we are getting into too personall issues...
What is this story about if not personal issues? But not about our own, of course.

The things the rapist said sure sounded to me like he was promised.

When wife gets back and accuses boss, he tells her, "I own you. You will go to whoever I tell you and they will do to
you as I allow."

Boss doesn't get that pass from me. That doesn't sound to me like he wasn't sure how it would go.

That is not how rape works.

Still not the same.

Not quite like this, I think. But I might be sheltered. I still say the way she ends up asking for loving sex is not what a woman would do. She would rave and bash the guy and prosecute him if possible. Like Harvey, like the French druggist.
It has been said a lot of times that the story is a fiction. And a porn fiction. So there are some (many ?) moments of "porn logic". Trying to make parallels with real life seems irrelevant. The only important thing is to know if the events are coherent with the main storyline : so far I will say yes.

If you're going to take that to mean that they've secretly been fucking, maybe you actually live in a porno, where everyone is fucking everyone else at the drop of a hat... A friend hugging you when you've just been told you're possibly going to be fired is not a sign that your relationship is more than friends. Once again, you're looking so hard that you're seeing things that aren't there.

What it might be a sign of, but we have not had confirmed, is that Addison quite likes Hutch and wouldn't mind something happening between them. It might also just be that she is friendly - "very sweet, once she gets to know you" - and is trying to comfort a friend after some bad news.

I don't know if you've ever worked in an office (or any other workplace, actually) with a good mix of male and female employees, but if you have, chances are you've witnessed two colleagues hugging - where both participated - despite them not being in any sort of relationship outside of work. The last big office I worked in, I can recall a good half dozen female colleagues giving me a hug and/or a kiss on the cheek for various reasons and at various times. One was having a bad week and we ended up literally stood in a meeting room hugging for five minutes because she needed a literal shoulder to cry on. Like the others, I didn't have any sort of a relationship with her outside of work, literally seeing her twice on nights out with the team over about five years working together, and nothing beyond that. Not all friends fuck...
true but this is a porn game. I'd like to see some Addison.

Yes, but not with Hutch please.
What if Addison is long used to do the things for the boss he just now demands from Vivian - securing signatures in hotels?
Her being fond of Hutch could be the solidarity of two victims, the one recognizing the other?

Can you imagine Vivian's reaction though if Christian does try to work a threesome with Addison? First the "she's your niece" bit, and then the "young and pretty" jealousy bit, and then the "thinking about Hutch and Addison" bit. I'd be surprised if it didn't go more the way of Reese than the way of Sunshine and Rain!
I get your point but it's something Christian could certainly do, especially now that he "owns" Vivian. I don't say that it will happen, but it's something I'd love to see !

Wouldn't mind with Hutch but I doubt it. Your theory makes some sense.

Vivian is known to say things and do the other so the own thing I wouldn't take too serious but true, I would also like to see it.

This is the sort of statement (where are the feminists who normally protest against men speaking in their place by the way?) which again mixes up the descriptive and the normative dimension. You don't want them to behave like that. That doesn't mean they don't.
I guess when I was 15 you could say that I had little experience of the world to draw on. If I had moral preferences in such things I would not be here enjoying this game.

It was a great rush to see wife walk into that bedroom in the presence of her husband and start moaning and screaming through the door. That does not mean I believe that a real woman would do that.

"I'll meet you tomorrow night, ok? I'll make sure my husband thinks I having a night out with the girls, and it will be all night, I promise." Husband might not be fooled. He might have heard this line too many times, but no, she will not walk into that bedroom in his presence and start fucking the night away.

There you go then. I've also had a couple of "work wives" in a couple of different jobs, and as you say you've had that, you should surely understand that the couple of perfectly harmless touches/hugs that Addison gives Hutch are not a sign that they're in a sexual relationship. How you can make the leap to believing that is beyond me.

The dev also doesn't point anything out. Maxwell is just being Maxwell with his workplace banter, just like "Dead man walking" (although I don't recall, you might have been one of the ones loudly vocalising that as irrefutable proof of Hutch being fired).

Vivian even asks the question for you, out of her own paranoia, and Hutch not only denies it without any hint of "shit, I've been caught, I need to lie my way out of this" but he genuinely seems surprised that she would ask such a thing. If there was a relationship going on between Hutch and Addison at that point, do you think Hutch would respond like that?

Absolutely my point. This is a dark fantasy. Not real. Magical. And normal human behavior cannot be expected.

Consistent to the dark fantasy form, we can expect that boss kisses wife and she goes to sleep. And nobody ends up happy.

or if you don't see a dick in a cunt you won't believe it, unfaithful Tony.
Ok.

We won't reach an agreement.

Maxwell is probably the more knowledgeable figure - he was at Feng's at the same time as Vi and Chris. I wouldn't underestimate his comments. :)

and it seemed that the 2nd part would provide many answers ....
True but still 2 parts to come and sc said there would be surprises in all of them. Doubt it a little but we'll see.

Sometimes I really have no idea what you're talking about. Reading your posts, it really comes across like you have no idea what you're talking about either, but you just run with it anyway, hoping to win people over with scenes that are completely innocent but you insist are not. And trusting a random gossipy taunt from an office clown instead of the specific word from the person involved is not a great way to verify information.

Next up, it's not a fact that Maxwell was at Feng's. There's a guy with similar facial hair (there are a couple, in fact), but that doesn't mean it's him - it's not beyond the realms of possibility, but would he be at a five-star restaurant on that exact night, where reservations are months in advance and clients that are referred to as "snooty" like to go?

Unless I've missed something, this is the best you can provide to back up your assertion that Maxwell was at Féng's:

Not exactly irrefutable proof, is it?

Ah man, you've made me have to fire up Photoshop again:

What I'm saying is that for someone to be married 25 odd years and has never had thoughts of cheating or other men during that time to be seduced/fall for another man within five seconds of meeting them doesn't really fit with the narrative of her claims of loyalty during the marriage
I agree. Am I supposed to think that there isn't a man in relationship/married for years who's never looked at other women or even flirted? Please... Lmao

women can respond to that better then men. They are the ones getting hit on. Most men are not aware of that.
