It is incredible to me how people can read the same story and see such different events. Wife did not offer herself to the predatory business man, she was raped. Neither will she be ready to do that willingly again without extensive groomings from Boss. From that point you wander into territory unknown to man, or at least to this game.

It is true that most devs completely ignore forums like this in support of their games. I am simply looking at what SC said he would do and how suddenly his behavior changed.

Early on after the release of MHB, I fell into the trap of wanting to appease everyone. I made some posts, engaged in some ways I shouldn't have, and nearly altered the course of the story (such as adding/removing scenes, or creating a new ending). Some of my words my have been misleading, confusing, or outright false. I've regained my senses, reminded myself this is for myself first, and you guys are invited spectators that are free to jump off the train if it's not going where you want to go.

I must go home. He says, Stay. She refuses even though that means turning down a night of glorious sex with him. There is no way she would do that if it were not for the promise she made to Husband to always come home. There is nothing she might need to say to him that can't wait until she gets another night of sex.

She is attempting to find a compromise that allows her to keep the Husband that owns her heart to the extent that she will turn down sex with Boss in order to keep her promise to Husband. A compromise that allows her to have that and continue fucking Boss like mad.

This is in no way throwing away her marriage in her mind. It is an attempt to save it. I understand that makes no sense irl. You are thinking in terms of the behavior of your own wife should you have one. But this is pornland and that is what the Wife is thinking. She thinks Boss will honor her demands. I do not think that.

Boss will be forcing her to abandon her promise to Husband, Boss will be sending her out again to be raped. When that happens can she wake up and know what she must do to save herself and her marriage? Doubtful, I think. But maybe. It is clear to me that being sent to be raped has changed how she deals with him. It should be starting to dawn on her what kind of person he is, and that she simply cannot trust him. But not yet for that totally. It is possible that the second brutal betrayal will finally wake her up. Maybe.

I do not surrender to the idea that Wife is a totally lost case, deservers nothing but degradation and corruption. SC says this game is about the possibility of Wife digging herself out of the hole she finds herself in. So let's let him tell us whether she manages to do that or not.

That is my conjecture and I'm sticking to it.
