I think most of us have said our piece, and are waiting for the next installment.
I can understand there being a mixed response to chapter 2. After all, it did take an unexpected deviation in its direction.

Personally, it was not a fan of the predatory nature of Sunshine and Rain, I thought the way Vivian lost her anal cherry was just too out of character.

That being said, her confirming she "belongs" to Christian and is his property is also way out of character compared to chapter 1, and just didn't jell at all with her thoughts and comments said previously.

I'm hoping the next installments somewhat rectifies and smooths out the ripples in the story line.

I'm absolutely here to the end. Even if I don't appreciate the direction it takes in chapter 3, 4, or 5, I'll still appreciate the story and the game. It would take something pretty massive to make me drop it before the end.

I do still laugh at people referring to Sunshine and Rain as predators though, and it also makes me chuckle a bit how there are two very defined camps of people, in those who think Rain being Vivian's anal first was the best thing for her in that respect and those who think it was an abomination of storytelling!

The interesting question is, how 1. and 2. interact with each other. As long as Hutch was able to seperate both areas, private and job, his weak position in both was maybe low-key depressing but did not lead to catastrophic consequences for his life. 2. was limited to his professional life. The boss could have only fired him but not humiliated his private persona. And on the other hand 1. was limited to the private arena and he was careful to keep it that way. Now both areas get mixed up. 2. inevitably further confirms 1. in the wife's mind. And the ch. 1 humiliation at the boss's house was only possbile because the boss used the wife, used 1. in order to strengthen 2. and implement it over Hutch as a person. If not for 1., Hutch could have simply left and told the wife to stop it, but he doesn't have a grip over her. The wife's power over Hutch lead him to suck up the boss's humiliation. She made him stay.
Also 4. is psychologcially connected to 2.: She wants to be with the stronger one. She allows herself to see herself as the winner's prize. And she insists on doing things (having sex) for the boss in order to protect Hutch or to compensate for his weakness and to placate the boss. She says this even during the sex. 4. is in her eyes justified and necessary because of 2. (and while she sees this as justification, Hutch certainly has guilt feelings because of that - but both acknowledge the same power relation). Therefore in the end the wife pervertedly also feels that 4. further confirms and emboldens 1. - like in the scene where she follows the order to kiss the boss in front of Hutch: The kiss symbolizes this hierarchy, by submitting to the boss she ignores and degrades Hutch and manifests unmistakebly that she doesn't give a fuck about respecting him (different from having pity). Same connection in the hotel, after fucking with the client for the boss (different from being raped btw), she leaves her husband standing like a lift boy. Obeying the boss means dominating her husband.

Very well said, I couldn´t agree more, but still I am not sure if it will stay that way, she is twisted, her heart, mind and desires are not on the same page as of yet and one wrong move from the boss can change things.
She is falling for him, but he is also falling for her and she is smart and strong enough (at least in my book) to use that
Hutch position gets more and more desperate and I wouldn´t be too surprised if at some point we will see him buying a gun, maybe not in the next update, but I realy would like to see that, it would raise the stakes and the tension

What an experience, the story so intense and immersive, the behavior and dialogues of the couple are heartbreaking in a powerdynamic I haven´t seen anywhere else, all put together in wonderful renders and animations.

I have high hopes that there will be more to it than the wife has sex with everyone around her in the long run...

I don't want to disappoint your hopes, but it seems that Vivian's job at Chris's company consists precisely of closing million-dollar deals with wealthy people and that her husband Hutch receives a substantial share of the commissions. Hutch even earns more than Vivian when his wife closes deals with wealthy and “capricious” clients.
On the other hand, considering the time it takes to complete a chapter and the passion the author puts into creating this engaging story, I don't think the number of characters will increase. Just to create chapter 2, SC Stories created a game of almost 7 gigabytes, and the next ones will perhaps be even bigger.
What I really appreciate is that the author has chosen to create standalone games for each chapter and that each of them has save folders dedicated only to the chapter you are playing.
Today is the fourth time I've played CH2, and I must say that every time I discover new details... this game doesn't make me want to skip any fragments or dialogues... it's a story that makes you think.
I think Vivian is a wonderful woman and very similar to my rich neighbor who is married to an accountant, and since I played this story, I understand how they make so much money .
Anyway, Vivian will never fuck all men, she only fucks those who will close million-dollar deals for the company where her husband Hutch works.

Will she do the job professionally? Well, even escorts do their job professionally... some are even married... fucking for a living is not cheating on your husband... unless you like it and do it with the mechanic and your students too.

It was her husband who specifically asked her to agree to work for Chris... and he did so because he has to pay the mortgage on the villa and the $300,000 sports car he bought for his wife Vivian.
I believe that Chris and Hutch had a clear discussion about the only way Hutch could keep his job.

The story begins precisely because Christian realizes that he could never have closed the half-million-dollar deal with Mr. Reese that Hutch had been working on... because the client would never have accepted the accounts that Vivian's husband had so carefully described in his report that Christian read at the start and that was the why Hutch will be fired by the boss...
Chris Company will never pay Hutch for his work on the deal if Mr Reese refuse to close that contract... but also Hutch needs the money from that contract... but without Vivian, the contract could never have been finalized...

Would be a shame, as Marcel could be a valuable "third way" possibiility for the plot and Vivian's character development. A view from the distance with his own interests of course but also an independent perspective. Maybe judgmental but non-exploitative.

I think with his way of creating separate chapters that can be played without having to follow any particular order...
I say this because I made a mistake the first time I saw this thread. I downloaded CH2 thinking it included the previous chapter... and I continued to believe this for days (you can see this in my first comments).
It took me a while to understand that CH1 was standalone, so I started playing CH1 afterwards...

What I mean is that I believe that, given the way he has organized his work, creating chapters that can also be played as separate games, this thread could become a collection of chapters from Vivian's life, and that sooner or later her days as a teacher will have a place in the story...

I have played this VN only once as of yet, you are way deeper into the details than I am and I am happy you share your insights with little old me. I must admit I forgot about the car and the house depts and the pressure because of it. Another reason why she gives in.

I think we differ in our perspective of Vivian, I think there is much more to her than being a slut and having a tribal tatoo doesn´t mean anything, a lot of my friends have them and none of them is one.

Sure Christan has established a lot of control over her, but he is also falling for her and one mistake can change a lot, who knows what will happen, we can only guess at this point

And don´t get me wrong, I want many more spicy scenes they are the bread and butter of an AVN, but not of the sake of it

The author is creating standalone chapters that can be played also without a specific order
Every chapter is a part of Vivian's story, and the author could very well write the next chapter telling us how and why Vivian decided and accepted to marry Hutch.

As i said there is no need to start from CH1....
if you start from CH2 the game has sense... and if after CH2 you play CH1 everything makes MORE AND MORE sense

if the author continue with this narrative style this collection will me a real MASTERPIECE!
