I see absolutely nothing in the plot that suggests Hutch is plotting revenge. If the plot goes that way, we'll need it to develop very well and show the character's change. Because right now, absolutely nothing suggests that Hutch is up to it. Quite the opposite; what we're shown is a subdued and emasculated Hutch who doesn't dare stand up to his boss.Yes I agree with this... That is my rosey picture of it. However, What you said about the couple is true ( I hope ) but I think he has a revenge streak building for Christian... THat is where I think it will get dark.
Normally I would be inclined to critizise your view for being too far on the side of an individual condemnation ("disgrace of a man" etc) and not weighing enough the conditions under which he operates and the possibilities he really has (don't know how much you have read of the thread, but some here, and me too, have argued he should have quit on the spot and exited the situation/job/marriage). But seeing the other views here I have to be less fussy and realize that we are at least in the same broad camp: The problem is a deficit of assertiveness and resistance in the relationship which was long in the making. The problem (in terms of "guilt") is not, that Hutch made some "mistake" at work or there isn't enough "passion" after 20 years.Yes, Hutch is clearly emasculated. It could be because of Vivian. In fact, she often tells him, "Say it," in a very authoritarian way (even if it's with a smile). That's a classic form of domination. And besides Vivian, the reality is that at work she's always in the spotlight. She has that toxic colleague, Maxwell, if I remember correctly, who's always bothering he. And I guess Christian's domineering presence also has something to do with it, since Hutch feels very inferior to him. We don't know what their work relationship was like, but we can guess. Always treated with condescension. In the end, all of this undermines your self-esteem.
However, at the end of the day, it's Hutch who has let all this happen to him. He's incapable of asserting himself. If the first day your wife says to you, "Say it," you say, "Hey, no, look. That's what you think, not what I think. Say it if you want, but I'm not going to do it," you're already setting your boundaries. But Hutch doesn't do that because he's a coward.
Regarding the topic of generations... I don't know. I'm probably from the same generation as Hutch, and my generation was raised with this whole thing about men being more emotional, opening up, and all that. But I never bought into that. That doesn't mean a man has to be a rock and take everything. If you're fucked up, go talk to your friends. With your wife, well, you can tell her your problems, but never in a whiny way. Explain the problem, but also offer a solution. Or at least show her you're going to find a solution. In my experience, women don't respect crybabies. I've seen it happen several times, and despite what they say, they lose respect for them. I think this has to do with the evolution of human psychology. But I don't want to go into that too much, since it's highly debatable. What I can talk about is what I've seen: friends of mine who have bought into the narrative that they should be more open, more emotional... And their wives don't respect them. Or they've even always had tremendous trouble finding a partner. And that leads them to a vicious cycle in which their self-esteem is low, and it's even lower because either their wife doesn't respect them, or because they don't attract women. You get the picture, right?
Anyway, Hutch is certainly not a crybaby. And he hasn't bought into the narrative of being more open, more emotional, etc. However, he doesn't manage it well either. Being in control of your emotions doesn't mean staying silent. It means reacting to things rationally, without losing your temper. But don't let them boss you around.
one path no choice.... But a great story !Guys, tell me how many paths are there in the game??is there a choice??

Remember there is this release .4 and then the next .6 which is about Hutch... It would have to start to deveope..... I do not think he is going to sit and do nothing.I see absolutely nothing in the plot that suggests Hutch is plotting revenge. If that plot twist happens later, there'll have to be foreshadowing first. Otherwise, it'll be something completely far-fetched and meaningless.
THANKS. I've already played..but reading the comments I think maybe I missed something or overlooked it.one path no choice.... But a great story !
If it does turn out that Hutch has any sort of a revenge plan, I think the foreshadowing is there. That time he spent gathering his thoughts, where he was essentially awol for half the weekend, gives us that. We don't have any insight into what he was doing during that time, and that opens up the options quite a bit. It gives quite a bit of creative freedom, and if it happens that he was plotting something, and talking to people/gathering info or supplies etc., I think some of his reactions when we have seen him so far will tie in with it well enough.I see absolutely nothing in the plot that suggests Hutch is plotting revenge. You didn't miss anything if you paid attention, the comments are of ideas/wishes of how the story is going to be, you can simply participate or ignore them and hope that the story blows your mind without previous ideas hahahaTHANKS. great storyYou haven't missed/overlooked anything, there are no choices, it's a fully kinetic story.
Hutch is gonna fold, become a complete subby cuck bitch, and everyone involved will totally enjoy it. This includes the office workers, and especially the hot blonde receptionist.
This I hereby decree.
There will be no recompense, and when Hutch digs deep within himself to find the courage to claim his wife, there will be nothing but the voice of Vivian inviting him, tormenting him with laughter.
Tell me I'm wrong, and I'll ask you why you decided to play this game
If Hutch is to plan something , the key word is plan. So far al we see of him is kinda a dejected husband trying to figure it out. Just in the last segment we see him start to stand his ground. I think in this nex part with Vivian doing he thing I think he will start to make alliances. THen in the .06 look out.... Hutch is back.
Option 3 would be the least seen and I guess least expected. It's the "happy ending" for the husband in this situation, if you could call it happy. I can definitely see it going that way, with some of the stuff dev has said. Can also see it going the way of options 1 and 2 though. That's what's so good, we're early enough in that all bets are still realistically on the table. It remains to be seen
- if he totally collapses and is trampled underfoot by Vivian and christian
- if he reacts by escaping and adopting a scorched earth policy. He loses everything but takes revenge on Vivian and Christian
- Or if he tries to get Vivian back and take revenge on Christian.
he is good at planning? isnt the whole reason his wife getting thoroughly destroyed because he lost his clients and job until that loving sexy slut of a wife saved it for him? omg i love herof course, IMO he's a typical brainiac. He needs to sit down and think. He doesn't react well to sudden changes. However, he's good at planning - and I still maintain my opinion about Sunday's disappearance.
i think hutch is going to become the next caitlin jenner personallyHe may be plotting the scorched earth plan. As of now he has emotionally voided Vivian. No verbal love or physical. He may be done
the only choice here is click play an watch vivian get destroyed while hutch gets his popcorn ready to watch it allGuys, tell me how many paths are there in the game??is there a choice??
