Another attempt to up the taboo factor in a Unity game for the hell of it. Sadly still can't do much with real code on this engine 3rd party patch, so nothing I can do about the annoying minigames...
Please note that applying this patch is slightly more complicated than dropping in files like Renpy.
If you do not follow the instructions, it will NOT work...
Taboo Dialogue Unofficial Conversion Patch v1.0
(Choose only one or the other to download)
Basic
- Removes all references to Tracy being "step" and characters not being related.
- Fixes a few of the worst Engrish typos/errors.
Enhanced
- Removes all references to "step" and characters not being related.
- Greatly increased taboo dialog and familial references
- Rewrite of several of Tracy's scenes to better fit her being the MC's real sister
- Greatly improved English throughout
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Download the original game and install it.
Step 2: Download the latest version of
Step 3: Extract the ReiPatcher file into the game's main folder.
Step 4: Run "SetupReiPatcherAndAutoTranslator".
Step 5: Launch "My Lovely Stepsister (Patch and Run)".
Let it do its thing and then EXIT the game once you are at the main menu.
(IF THE GAME DOES NOT LAUNCH FROM THIS SHORTCUT - SOMETHING LIKELY WENT WRONG. DELETE THE INSTALLED GAME AND REINSTALL IT THEN CONTINUE FROM STEP 3 AND IT WILL HOPEFULLY WORK THIS TIME.)
Step 6: Extract your chosen taboo translation version into the game's base directory. Keep the directory structure intact and allow it to overwrite the Config.ini file in the AutoTranslator folder.
You can now launch the game from the original .exe (NOT THE PATCH AND RUN), and the new dialogue will replace the old.
