if this game were releasing every 1-2 months everyone would agree with you. but now that it's slipped to every 3-4 months, saying "the game is going to have 8 chapters of teasing before any sharing/cheating happens" means we are looking at OVER A YEAR of buildup before anything pays off, and most games are abandoned/milking/releasing every 6 months by that point
(disclaimer: i haven't played the update yet, im just explaining why "slow burn" has come to be viewed as a negative so often in this community. renpy games do not have a good track record in pulling off satisfying slow burns)
im confused about the size disparity of the links, one is 185mb the first one 1gb? not like i could resist dlin the first 1gb version and being thankful for the heroes, that update was quite hot

I think maybe i should not hype up new releases so much in my mind anymore. Maybe ill check this site less often for now on.
i agree with this analogy. this goes for most genres actually. imo you need a certain amount of build up for the pay of to be of any significance. and while i totally get that sometimes a consumer just wants that quick plumber/pizza boy/gardener visits lonely milf kind of game... i also think that when a dev is putting in obvious amount of work like in the case of this game, the result is much better when you just let him cook and dine on what is coming out of it.
i personally believe that exspecially in an NTS game like this, not only the set up but also the progress of all main characters is very importend for the game to not become one in a hundred AIcg clones that came out the past view month. and so far the dev seems to know what he is doing. so at the very least we should show some patience instead of screaming: "Give us s*x now"
my only wish is that eric (the MC) would evolve into having a bit more agency instead of just be driven along in the plot, but ill just wait and see where this is going

I used to do this, then I found approximate 1.2 million other games to check out on this site and suddenly the time I have to wait between good releases seems tiny. I even skip releases on some games now. Cuz I only have so much time to play with my dingaling.
