The remaster was started and completed within the span of a couple weeks clearly. And the justification of aging up Vi is an extremely valid one in my opinion. Playing through it there's been some changes to the text as well, a couple things that were unclear were explained and a couple story hooks added. To me it was a positive change it a fairly quick window.

It's described as "Reworked the first game scenes to improve art, story, music and sfx" - is this separate from what you guys are talking about? If he's truly is planning a lengthy remaster, agree 100% with idkmanerally; but unclear what he's actually talking about.

No, he's just talking shit. Like I said before, this remaster was just of the first scenes up until the video call Eric has with Vi before playing games with Sai. It appeared in the latest updates' thread because this remaster came three weeks after chapter 5.

Done and finished, and he's working on the first scene of the DLC (1 out of 2) that will came out in March.

let's hope going silent for 3 weeks on patreon then announcing a "rework" is maybe a PR snafu and not a development proirity snafu. uttering the word "rework" or "remaster" is going to ignite some negative feelings in the community, for good reason

Hello guys, there seems to be some confusion regarding the rework of the intial release. The rework is done and released. I updated this thread, the thumbnails, the links, the changelog, etc...I'm not currently working on any rework, it's done and released both on Patreon and to the public. I already knew I wanted to make this rework before releasing Chapter 5 weeks ago, I just didn't announce it because I knew it would create toxic and fake narratives on this thread, so I just did it and released it. It's done! I will leave the Patreon post here for reference but I wanted a better experience for new players, make Vi look a little better ( before I get trouble from TOS on Patreon), create new narrative threads like Laura working on real-estate and Arnold being the new director of the university. This are plot lines that will have impact soon on future chapters. I'm working now on the Anya DLC for March, nothing has changed.

...this is a terrible and likely polarizing example of the change. People who like slightly more stylized anime adjacent aesthetic will absolutely prefer the first picture. She's based on a pixar character. I don't think it ages up the character, it just changes the design aesthetic.

For sure - there's stigma attached to it. It'd be like your girlfriend saying "So i was thinking about taking a break...." and you're like WTF! "No just a lunch break today, wanna come?" Phew! (to those that need it spelled out, both "taking a break" and "doing a remake" very often are the death knell of a relationship or project)

Nothing is avoidable. There's not a single choice in this VN. it's literally just a "kinetic novel" so technically not even a game.

At the moment, it only the neighbour woman with her stepson, but about avoidable there is no such thing, it a kinetic story and any sex scene that will happen, will happen. Depend on the developer how he will implement them, it a Netorase game after all and at some point all girls will sleep with some guys.
