To answer the writing part, because I generally agree with the rest of what you said, it was just to make where she's at now more consistent. That's why I called it out, has nothing to do with where she's going, which as you said at least regarding both Rob and Eric is fairly obvious. I would have personally made the same critique though if she suddenly said those things to Eric at this point too. For me it had nothing to do with whether it was NTR or whatever (I've already explained why I don't think so, but I agree that many are overly obsessed with exact genre obsessions) but rather taking me out of the moment because of how abrupt the shift in tone was from one moment to the next. It's porn but you know, you want some level of plausibility.
Doesn't matter if the scene is NTS/NTR/reclamation/harem/whatever I'll always question if it fits the characters motives and role at that time, even if I myself want the scene in question to happen. I would say I simply like consistency
.One of the nice things about CG's writing thus far is that even though it has pornographic exaggeration obviously, the characters are internally consistent. Their motivations and path going from point A to B to C. But if even if all know that the path ends at F if D is skipped then that internal consistency is lost and the story is worse for it. That's why I made the critique I did (I have no clue if the change had anything to do with my critique or just overall feedback, of which there was a lot).
I did a little bit of writing for SoA, shits super difficult, easily the hardest part of the whole thing at least for me personally. So you know, mistakes happen and I think it's fine to point those out. Eric and Anya are now going on a shopping trip, if Anya suddenly tells Eric she wants to fuck him in the changing room stall I'd also call out that for bad writing (even though it's a scene I'd very much like to see! it's simply too soon for her to be that bold). Call me the no fun police (Doshima certainly does in SoA dev chat
) but I do care about plot development and character writing. If I didn't I wouldn't bother with VN's, I'd be spending that time on pornhub.
