It might have been this game or another similar one, but I did say that it was a bad idea to do it this early and that they should do it over time instead of releasing multiple no content updates.
But hey what do I know, I haven't played thousands of games or anything. It's not like I understand how people think when they download an update to a game and load their save and are met with a end of version screen.
Obviously it doesn't annoy people and games that do it clearly get massive growth and success.

Yeah.. a few more months before this game gets another update that's worth playing probably.
It's just a matter of time, move on play other things and come back later.

Not true.

Chapter 05 has 2 planned DLC's (added content). The first DLC was released end of March (Anya POV), and shortly after an edited version to "fix" some dialogue and images along with it. 2nd DLC is gonna be the 'Afterparty' which concludes Chapter 05, then starts development for Chapter 06. Both DLC's have new content and the rework of early images has- AFAIK, been completed in early March. 2nd DLC should drop end of the month or in May, but don't quote me on that.

creator could of made their own characters, GF is violet, what creator did to Fubuki is criminal having literally no tits yet Makima kept hers like wtf? Still good stuff i was shocked how good this game turned out to be.

This would make more sense, but I genuinely have a feeling the dev is just hitting writer's block and doesn't have a clear direction on where to take the story, and is using these DLCs and random reworks of earlier shit to feed breadcrumbs and appease his fanbase a little and make it "seem" as if development's more active as he drags out their subscriptions.

Okay, the intention to "drag out their subscriptions" is a bit of the overly cynical F95 poster in me coming out, because that probably is not his thought process, but definitely circling around the "party" chapter for this long (and if we take this time to be from the very first time chapter 5 was teased, which was back in the middle of November last year, then this "party" arc has now taken up...5 months of the game's timeline) is kind of souring the overall excitement I feel the game used to have (especially because, as we saw with the Anya's POV DLC too, there are still close to zero pay-offs - meaning Maki getting action is not something I count - so we're just waiting, month in month out, for tease after tease).

Also, the game getting a bump on this website for a small update is almost surely purely beneficial for the game. Most people will see it's a small update and not care, but there might be new people who haven't spotted this game before or are new to the website, and get led to Circle's Patreon page, so that's...good, I suppose.

I'm not sure if CircleGames is aware of this, but I was browsing the xvideos site and found a familiar thumbnail with his art.
It seems like this guy, NalaPlaysGamesxxx makes a videos out different chapters of his game narrated by an ai and sells it on xvideos red.
I'm not sure if he has permission or is it the developer himself under a different name(which I doubt), but I just wanted to warn CircleGames. I don't post the link to the channel cause not sure if it's allowed here, but you can easily find him by printing his name into the search box on the site.

Learning to animate the scenes certainly puts this a level above most stuff. I'm curious to see how in the future copyright works with this kind of content. Especially because he is using characters from other works and not developing his own. I think his AI lora might be based off of Melkormancin and some other creators art mixed together, so that presents another legal liability though smaller because I doubt Melkor has a legal team.

Art styles can not be protected by copyright. Copying images of someone is where one can get in trouble. Not the case here, especially since it's a blend of several styles mixed together which ultimately makes it unique. You'll find similarities in so many different art styles, copyrighting them would rob art/artists of all creativity. You'd end up in a world where people could get sued for stick figures made with ms paint. lol

I can agree with the thesis that the frequent appearance of the game in the list of new distributions on this site will benefit it (more frequent rotation, new paid subscribers, etc.), but as a person who has been following the game since August last year and who has already encountered similar developments in other games more than once, I can only say that this is not a very good strategy. If the author does not know where to move the story and / or doubts that the audience will positively perceive the author's vision, then maybe he should arrange a poll in Discord or somewhere else, give several supposed vectors of development / game events, possible fetishes, etc. and see feedback from the audience. I just would not want the game to receive full-fledged updates once every quarter of the year not because of difficulties in production, but because the author simply does not know what to write about.

I think we are in questionable territory considering you have to train AI on someone's art but I see it as more up in the air. Blatantly using Maki for example, from Chainsaw Man would seem to be a bigger issue. I'm not saying he'll get trounced but something Unlimited isn't even AI and that ran into trouble. I feel like I remember other games on here facing issues with copyrighted characters if that studio had a decent legal team.

Well, like I said, aslong as you're not trying to copy particular images made by an artist you are free to use anyones art style however you want. Art classes around the globe literally teach you techniques and styles used by many famous artists throughout human history.

That's another story. He could absolutely get in trouble if the creators of certain characters decided to go after him. I guess that's another reason as to why he's moved away from Vi's 'The Incredibles' look to a more unique depiction of that character (besides the obvious issue being Patreon's ToS considering the original is a child).

Edit: Though, in the case of Maki one could argue that it's been altered so much so that any resemblance with the original is gone and similarities being pure coincidence.

Edit2: That also begs for the question... How can CivitAI host character loRA's trying to copy famous anime characters and even celebrities using their names? Honestly I don't know. lol
