development timeframe for this game keeps increasing, the better CG gets, how tf does this happen if not milking, like dude ? Why you take longer when youre supposed to be getting faster ?
i always told you guys thats what you were going to get once you all started screaming "we want animations!" now take it lol.. i hope it takes increasingly more time for each update and that they get smaller and smaller xD

what does increased time between updates have to do with animations? circle, like most devs, pays animators to do it, it takes him almost no additional time.

I know he's taking his time, I member the Shadows of ambition dev actually responded personally to my review and addressed every issue I had with the game. I have changed my reviews cause they are cool people. If a dev is willing to reach out and say "hey i agree these are good points." Thats mad respect from me as a fellow developer.

A LOT.. litherally ALL games doubled their production time after that lol.. games that had 1 update per month or even less time went from that to 2, 3 and sometimes even more.. Paying animators or not.

Because the quality is also massively improving, the standards are increasing.

with a low quality stock background, weird remnants of the old background, generic pose to the stuff he's putting out lately, or the stuff I'm seeing him work on dev chat now... it's night and day. The newer stuff requires often a shit load more time in photoshop, in SD, etc. The writing is also being taking more seriously now as opposed to early on. The thing he's been working on the last couple days for example requires a lot of visual design, but I think once people see it those who appreciate visual design will get a real kick out of, it's professional level work vs the early casual stuff but that takes time.

And no, before it devolves into another back and forth he has no interest in sacrificing quality for speed. I'm not saying you have to agree with the why, I am just telling you why.

tf dude, I never asked for this BS I just want the story to progress.
The story did progress in the last update a lot, openly talking about sharing, Eric getting his first threesome, Sai developing into a cuck, the next photoshoot being brought up. I know very well what you actually want, it has less to do with plot advancing and a lot more to do with one specific fetish. You'll get (some) of what you want eventually, but there is more than one thing going on.

In any case, development is going well the visuals look (in my opinion) better than ever with a visual style closer to what a lot of people liked about the chapter 2-3 window but with some new flair, but I won't pretend it won't take quite awhile to finish.

No I am talking about the speed of producing updates is decreasing, sure quality is increasing but the time frame also increases, there should be a sweet spot to focus on between quality and time especially its AI gen game, so even if after effects are crucial, it still takes alot of time to be developed and each update takes longer than the one before it.

I think people have a wrong understanding of how AI increases development speed. Scenes in this Game are quite complex. Getting them right (let alone consistent) is borderline hard and sometimes cumbersome. Not talking about having the right hardware. It is faster compared to doing everything manually, but expecting a packed update every other week is far from reality

This is a problem with multiple devs.

>put out game
>people support it because they want more of the game
>instead of putting out more of the game in a fair timeline, they expand the scope of the game and spend more time improving quality than actually putting content out

It's a disconnect between the dev wanting to improve their skills / quality of the game and the people paying who want more of the game and would be fine with the original quality of renders etc.

For the first time I will not crucify the game's development and agree, in addition to the art development the game is progressing well in the dialogues, not as much as I wanted but at least now it is developing from what I saw in the last update, we can only hope that this delay is something truly positive.

I agree, this is a very common problem in many games and perhaps it is also something like a lack of dialogue between players and developers.

Had a chat with a developer of another novel, who also is heavily behind. As long as there is communication with the community and some explanation, all is fine. The first: the developer is quiet, not giving any info at all. Then you really lose confidence and - for the once supporting financially - stop this support

I think you confuse what you want with what other people want. Your wants and opinions are not the same as others. I've supported about 15 games in the last 8 years (not all at once ofc) and it was never my strong desire to just have updates faster. I've pushed for better quality, animations, expanding the story/universe, etc. I've also been working in the gaming development business for more that 20 years now(I've been in QA for 10 years then moved to Scrum, then to Production and worked for 3 big companies and 2 smaller ones) and from all business intelligence reports I've read, quality improvement was always winning over other tracked data, it doesn't matter if it was a AAA game or an indie/smaller one. I not saying this to somehow boast, just truly want to give you and others here another perspective and maybe see things through another lens/broaden your thinking.

It's easy to mistake this if you only read F95 forums and see other pirates yelling left and right for faster updates, only their specific fetish covered or other selfish demands. If you go on devs discords or patreon, you will see a whole other kind of atmosphere, even if you will have a random ask for faster updates you will quickly see that one is not a paying supporter (not speaking about this game in particular, but other ones too, since you clearly want to make a statement about multiple developers/games).

Of course, there will always be devs that abuse this and lengthen their cycles artificially, but I haven't seen signs of this behavior for CG.

Feel free to persist in your thinking, but games like this gaining supporters month by month are a very good indicator that your thinking/opinion is not the general one. You also should start to learn that usually, a minority of people will complain even when things are going well, it's inevitable. But when you see the game gaining support, it means that people like how things are going or that game would go downhill very very fast, you can't miss it.
Enjoy your day and fap away, we're all fap bros around here, some of us just know more about how games are made.
