I suspect they don't want to open that can of worms, with so much variation on the theme. Tags are of questionable value anyway. Have one little scene that fulfills a tag and then people put the tag on. It means most filters are borderline useless because the "there is one cheating scene" type games outnumber the ones about that theme.

The tag is coming. They announced the upcoming site update a long time ago which included a revamped tag system, and netorase is among the new upcoming tags, but it looks like they blew their load too early with the announcement since the update is still not here.

No, just a joke. I was referencing the first dlc 17 minute duration and multiplying it by 4 because it took 3 months to make therefore a year.

How predictable will the new storyline be? I saw that they’re adding two new characters, Kira and Jack. Kira looks so much like Vi — I wonder why the author decided to do that. Most of the existing characters still haven’t been properly developed, yet they’re adding two more. It’s starting to feel more like a franchise assembly line with 10+ chapters.
Since Kira looks so much like Vi, sex between her and Eric is basically guaranteed. I’m sure the author won’t even come up with a proper storyline for Kira and Eric — they’ll almost immediately jump into sex. As for Jack, what role could he play? I think he’ll end up being some kind of love interest for Anya, since Maki already took Rob for herself.
So the new chapter will probably revolve around Anya with Jack, and Kira with Eric. Vi will likely only get screen time during a photoshoot. There was already a chapter with a photoshoot, and it was good, so I think this one will also be decent — kind of like chapter 4. But Vi won’t play a bigger role in the new chapter.
I’ve basically predicted the entire new chapter 6 already. Now we’ll see if the author can actually surprise us, or if the project has just become too clichéd.

I normally lurk here but I feel like the Dev is gonna add more and more character bloat (should the update ever come out). I originally started playing this because I really liked VI and her design and NTS ofc. Im not really interested in the sister/mother route. Thats whatever. It just feels like the story is all over the place already and I fear its gonna get worse. Maybe the game isn't for me after all. Sorry just venting abit.

I mean it isn't just any project, it's his passion project. Who's to say the introduction of said characters isnt part of his vision? We forget that behind the game there's a developer who wants their passion project to be faithful to their vision. We shouldn't jump to assuming the worst about him and how the story plays out without even having the chapter in our hands, it's bad faith.
But I can see your point, you're definitely onto something if said new character's take too much off of the story. It would sour the chapter and if it so happens, I will probably lean into him having malicious intent.
Personally I think the reasoning of said new characters is to introduce a couple with an NTS dynamic like vi and Erik to guide vi and Erik on their NTS dynamic, and maybe borrow each other's girlfriends little by little, but given that we're in chapter 6.. the little by little will be faster since we're already on chapter 6.

She'll show up at the very end of the update, at the photoshoot, show her tits to the photographer and take a picture of her staring at the bulge in his pants or something, and then she'll run out and her and Eric will fuck in an alleyway while they just talk about how super hot it would have been if Vi fucked the photographer. 5 months or so later, in the next update, Vi might lightly brush her fingers across his bulge before fleeing the scene, and Eric will "punish" her for crossing the line or something, because he wasn't there to witness it and only saw it in a photo.
Exactly this. These games never give you what you want to see. Tease after tease they just move forward incrementally with nothing really happening between the FMC and other guys. Patreon money is just too good so these developers keep drawing things out and building up their bank accounts instead creating a great game in a timely manner.

The logic makes no sense, even with the most cursory inspection. If what everyone wants is X, then denying them and going with Y instead is not a good money-making scheme. What sort of conspiracy even is this? Many devs and many players have very different views on how fast progression should be and how much buildup there should be. If it was a question of making money, then doing tons of NTS sex scenes is no more arduous than not doing them. I don't know why people think there's something there.
It's more that some people really want something, so when they don't get it they make up all sorts of conspiracies as to why it's not immediately happening (this applies to far more than AVNs). But ultimately, it's baseless theorizing. Every arc has buildup because that's how CG likes to do things. For him, the buildup is at least as sexy as the payoff and just as important. In terms of my view, which is just as subjective as anyone else's, I enjoy this method where everything gets buildup to a point where when it happens it feels like a natural consequence of what's come before. It also allows you to play with far more concepts. Once you've made a progression, you can't take it back, which means any idea you had that's less "hardcore" is more or less off the table. This means quick progression can quickly throw you into a trap, with many cool ideas you might have tabled. If you do want "fast food" type AVNs, many of them exist! One isn't necessarily better than the other, although I much prefer the slower pacing and find the quick ones not worth the time to play, myself. But as I keep reiterating nobody is being told to like the game, I do find it interesting though that many of those who have complained about the direction for about a year now still show up to the thread daily, make of that what you will.
