Perhaps after reading the game's description, tags, and the developer's comments, people have already formed an opinion about the game's direction. They just didn't know that the developer might have his own unique understanding of NTS.
And maybe the developer is right. By his logic, this game truly can be called an NTS game. After all, no matter what happens, it can all be easily explained away with the simple phrase: "It's fine, Eric likes it."
Vi sleeps with Eric's rival? No problem, because "It's fine, Eric likes it."
Vi becomes a porn star? Don't worry, "It's fine, Eric likes it."
Vi gets pregnant by a stranger? No need to fret, because "It's fine, Eric likes it."
You could continue this list endlessly... In any case, I don't want to engage with that kind of logic.
So, if anything in the game bothers you, just remember the universal solution: "It's fine, Eric likes it."
And I'd like to ask, why do some people call Eric an "Alpha cuck"? I'm certainly no expert on Alpha/Beta dynamics, to be honest, I've never even used these terms myself. If I understand correctly, an "Alpha" is someone distinguished by their dominant behavior and character. I wouldn't say Eric stands out with such qualities.
After all, all the first steps towards him were made by the girls themselves, not by him. Vi, on the other hand, is the one actively making the first moves with other guys. One could say that all decisions about who Eric will sleep with are made exclusively by the women.
While Vi is off having fun with other men, Eric has to patiently wait until someone from the female cast tries to pull his pants down again.
To be honest, even if this game had been in development for 10 years, we must admit that the plot is still in its early stages. Therefore, we shouldn't rush to conclusions. Character development and evolution are what we'll have to continue observing.
