Not only you got the same impression on that topic, quite a lot of people here assume the same. Girlfriend was a slut from the very beginning, but exclusive for MC(still a slut by nature, it clearly shown). She kind of gradually strayes away from him, little by little.
Example: 1st more or less noticable thing she had done without MC consent was in Ch.3 after market scene(where she also shows her exhibitionist trait). While she was returning home, she took of the jacket to extend the feelling of exposure or in another words to get off even more.(while beeing cat called and receiving more "pleasant" comments along the way home). To correct and clarify: The scene that was removed was in the club where Vi went too far with Sai and confessed to Eric in a panic. Eric told her he was completely fine with it and that he would like to explore it more. The depth of that scene was removed to be better in line with the sharing mentality. Most believe it was removed because there was a bit of a Patreon revolt and it went too far. The rub is that just a short couple of chapters later, Vi licks the cock and balls of a pornstar stranger in the photo shoot. That scene was also downgraded from a blow job.

That is the current version (silver). Anya and Eric have the scene in a changing room. The older version you may be referring to is the one where Vi feels she overstepped at the club and she gave a BJ during the photoshoot. It is the Chapter 6 Gold version. Pictures of that were posted above.

Note that in the Silver version, dialogues and scenes were changed, but even after all the revisions, Vi's thoughts and feelings towards Bruce remained unaltered. Even after all the developer's adjustments, the core of Vi's thoughts about him hasn't changed. The developer probably didn't write her inner monologue that way for no reason.

Let's take, for example, the scene where Maki and Rob were having fun in the bathroom. Remember what Maki said and thought during that scene and after. The next day, she even blew Rob off. Now compare these two scenes. Compare Maki's attitude towards Rob with Vi's attitude towards Bruce, the difference is quite evident, I think. Vi hasn't even touched Bruce yet is already on the verge of losing control.

This fundamental difference in their reactions is exactly what makes Vi's psychological state so intriguing and, frankly, concerning for the future of her relationship with Eric. It's a deliberate character choice that the developer has consciously preserved through all revisions, which makes me believe it's a crucial setup for future conflict, regardless of the eventual NTS label.

I've no idea where you're getting all this from mate. If anything the opening sequence actually suggests the following will be a netorare story and it 's the so-called consent, with all the reassuring platitudes and instigator-innocent role switches it entails, that seemed a bit inorganic. There is a still one interesting take IMO.
The game is called "My new girl friend" not "Violet - my new girl friend", can only be a coincidential that the game starts the way it is, just to fuck around with us.(that 100% won't be very popular opinion and there are definitly not enough clues for that, but they are beginning to pile up)
What if the "new gf" is actually Anya, but in the future? She trully loves the MC, with a "purest" form, she has the most reasons to love him and yet she's the only one without any hints to NTR Eric, she is still innocent in some way.
Or the game ends in Mushoku Tensei style - "why choose when you can have both".
