Hi everyone, Patreon is disabled until the release of an updated version.
This is because of the whole Melkormancin situation. I have looked into his work and informed myself of who he is and how to reach him. I created an Instagram just to talk to him, and today he responded. Long story short the man is a great dude and we talked a bit, he said I could post our convo online but I will just summarize it for you.
1.He is not upset and understands that mistakes have been made
2.He does not support the use of an AI game styled around his art ( completly understandable) + ( It was not me that created this AI generating tool around his style it was already avaiable online I just liked it and downloaded it, I did NOT train the AI myself. )
3.I decided it was only fair he would get a cut of the games sucess so i offered him a "cut" or even a collab wich he refused respectfully ( completly understandable)
4.I ask him if I could remake the VN with other artwork and he had no problem with it.
5.He knows this version of the game will be here until my update.
Overhaull a great guy and was very polite, shame we cannot work together but I already expecting that so with that in mind...I will need to remake all of the artworks on the game to put this issue behind us.
When I say us, I mean me and the people that interested, if you are not interested, and I see there are many of you, then I do not know what to tell you thank you I guess. There are more games on the website but make no mistake I do not mind the hate, for whatever reason, AI, NTR, people sending me messages that I am racist rest assured, I do not care!! The only thing I cared was talking to Melkor and it is done.
That being said I am moving foward with a mix of Vintage1990s anime style mixed with 3d based models so I do not get this issue again, I added a little bit of Japanese Manga Shading to get a similar shading to Melkor, at least tried to, but it will never look the same, I apologise to the people about that, and to everyone that got upset.
I will leave here my progress on the new model, this will take work tho, a lot so you will not be hearing from me for a while, plus I already plan to have someone checking the text and dialogue for mistakes etc. That will come with time and money down the line. Anyway please leave your feedback on the new art. Stay safe guys.

Regarding the new art, it looks great!! I'm eagerly waiting for the reworked version of the rest of the characters! Take all the time you need!!

Kudos to you for resolving the situation. You are an artist yourself as you said, surely you understand what Mancin might feel about the situation. Opinions here are divided about AI art. That said, I don't think directly messaging and attacking you is the right way to vent frustrations, sorry to hear you experienced that. I loved his early work. but last 10 years or so just the same shit. I dont even care.
to have his style on a game would give him money and credit as well. can't understand that arrogance.

I am a full time arstist ( designer ) by the day I do not have time to create art and program and write. So yeah that new image is still AI, just a more generic one trained on anime style and 3D art. I do not mind the hate and as an artist I understand the complains but this technology is inevitable, regardless of opinion, but I am a man and I respect Melkor so I texted him to clear things of course. Do not worry about the hate DMs

A lot of people bitching about "theft" on a forum dedicated to what amounts to a pirate website. Irony!
And before any mouth breathers clutch their pearls and say "it's technically not piracy cuz we're not reselling the product" well ... it's theft. There are a LOT of pages where the it outlines that the dev, to put it simply, doesn't like it but can't do shit. It's the equivalent of a shop owner being like "well, I either let them steal or my shop burns down."
Get over yourselves.
Dev, you do what you feel is right because you feel it's right, not because some crybabies bullied you into it. You're giving a solid effort and I hope to see you evolve and continue.

Maybe you don't know this dude called "NLT Media", he started as an artist making porn comics (he was already known for it) and his big success came after his first porn game, so your comment doesn't make any sense. Porn games is a market that is growing, so if an artist wants to expand his business, making a porn game is the most successful and fastest way to do it.
Nice, I love the art and characters from Melkor Mancin but it´s still a bit different. Please keep going

The game has potential, but I must say that if you want to keep your word of appealing to all types of tastes, you should consider avoiding NTR. There are players like me who like to ruin the plans of those who try to manipulate the main female characters. that you should put that option in the future to keep everyone happy, both those who like NTR and those who don't
By the way, I see that there is a controversy. Can someone summarize what it is about? I'm half busy now that I was barely able to post my mini review so that the option of avoiding the NTR is considered.

A NTR game in mancin's artstyle could've been really hot, if what was show in this demo anything to go by at least. His father-in-law comic is still one of my favorites.
For the game, i'm more bummed by the "kinetic novel" tag than anything else, but whatever, i'll keep following to see where this goes.
