I mean, I don't have a problem with him exploring more character building and giving them depth. The problem is, it takes him to long to release a new update. Plus he just reuses old images from time to time. I'm all for quality over quantity. But the problem is, he does neither of those atm. Nobody expects him to release a huge update in 1-1.5 month. Considering the updates in original game were medium size in terms of content and time it took him to release them. Nowadays it takes 3 months to release an average update at best. In terms of story telling and character building, Lucy's update was the best in the entire revamp so far IMO. Most of his zealots just want to see MC bang everything that moves as much as possible. What he could do tho is to give people what they want, in terms of porn content, so he could develop characters the way he wants. He can just add content for already established characters, so people won't perma nag him on his discord/ patreon. Cuz at the end of the day it's a porn game, people play this type of games for that content specifically for the most part, if the game has a decent plot and world/character building, then it's an amazing upside for the game. But the game is still playable even if those aspects are average. Unfortunately BoN lost all of his passion towards this project a while ago, so it translates into countless delays/ cut content etc. Idk what he should do at this point, besides somehow finishing this project and starting a new one or just abandon this game and move on to something differentWell, in general, I share your position. But I disagree with something. Creativity is such a thing that it is not always possible to drive into a time frame. Let's take the latest update. In my opinion, the beginning of Lucy vs Jack is done just fine, the first task for the gangs is well done, then there are good funny moments. Then the failure, and it is quite possible that if BoN had had more time, then the tournament would not have turned out as miserable as it is now. My previous post about that was. If you pour molasses into your ears all the time (take his discord, for example), then a person gets used to it quickly, and then he only needs five stars. Moreover, he has already promised his patrons so much, let them down so many times. So it turns out that quantity replaces quality. Let's analyze what the players in the main mass want, well, let's say those who expressed themselves in this topic. Basically they want there to be more sexual content. It's nice to see you are still the go to guy for this game. I started playing the 87 version, and I have ran into a problem. It starts OK with Lucy in her room the morning after the date. Then it does a couple of plot advances: Lucy & Jack, new girl in the house. Then the MC goes with Markus to try to recover the money at the club and Andrea's house. Then the screen about missions pops up and after that everything goes to hell. I get a black screen that says I'm at Otter Labs, which I fix by going to Items, but I can do nothing at Otter, and trying to use Book of Faces to see what I'm supposed to do next gives me circular messages. I tried waiting until evening when Markus was supposed to come but nothing. Attached is my save file.
Im not sure what gave you the "thoughtful" & "well done" impression cuz it was arguably just as bad as this update in term of quality. An actual "thoughtful" & "well done" product wouldn't be a buggy mess that 0.86 turned out to be, its clearly a rushed update & BoN didn't even bother testing it after he implemented. Which he has all of the times in the world to do cuz he NO LONGER HAS A RELEASE SCHEDULE.
And now if you're talking about story specifically, i already explained in one of my post a few pages ago how the last update made no sense in the gang story cuz of how friendly Warren is towards the MC when he is NOT IN THE GENTLEMEN. Like imagine you're friend with a boss but you can't even enter his house or his club. Its clear that BoN wanna make the game Gentlemen focus so the gang decision was utterly pointless & it should've been save up for MNL2.
As for Lucy, she is more of mix reception. Some likes her update like you, some hates it due the 2 mini games that wasn't really necessary & feel like BoN put in just to drag the update out for longer play time (the virus & neuron mini games). The repeated flash images of Lucy fantasied about the MC, this is good for the first couple of times to develop her character but now those flash images are just geniuely annoying cuz those are images from scenes everyone have seen before & it constantly being brought up whenever Lucy felt horny, which doesn't convey a feeling of excitement for manjority of players, rather an annoyance.
Hi guys, im stuck at lucy quest, i go to sleep, do the laundry them sarah apears and ask for help, after that it changes to MC and i cant find what i have to do to continue lucy quest, the book dont show anything when i click the "?" at lucy page, tryed to put some fixes, walked around clicking lucy at every oportunity whent to soccer but nothing happened, really stuck and would apreciate some help, is it a bug or i am just missing something? ( sry for bad english)

Oh my God!!! What does it have to do with bug's in v. 0.86 at all??? Did I say that there are no bug's??? Yes, this game suffers from bug's from its very birth to one degree or another!!! You have to go through it being preserved at almost every step. I don't need to ask SotN about bug's, I know about them perfectly well and have written about it more than once. And in general, I did not pass the second part of v. 0.86 until the end three months ago, because when passing I encountered a bug in the main door of the house. The continuation trigger did not work, and the two friends of the addict did not enter the house. I was in no hurry, and postponed the passage, naively hoping that with the release of v.0.87 this bug will be fixed. NATURALLY, nothing was fixed. Yes, it was unpleasant, but if you want to play this game, then you have to put up with this state of affairs. Therefore, when you write about problems with bugs, that they are not fixed, that there is no schedule for the release of updates, that the releases of updates are delayed, take longer, than before, etc., then I FULLY SUPPORT you in this. What's the point of you writing to me about it???
When I talk about quality, about a well-thought-out and well-made product, I first of all mean the elaboration of the game plot, the development of storylines, "playability" and saturation of the gameplay, etc. Yes, I am one of those players who should be interested in playing the game in the first place. I have already explained that the friendship of MC and Warren is not a new technique. Beggar has already used a similar technique - friendship of MC and Nesrot in the original game. It didn't hurt anything there at all. It's just that instead of a gang of hornets, he now has a gang of gentlemen. Well, let's say Warren is the leader of the gentlemen, and MC is in another gang. And what of it? They're OLD friends, ever since before Jack lost his mind. Well, Warren asks an old friend for a favor. Or vice versa. What's the big deal here? There are plenty of such stories in life. I have already written several times that dev constantly uses old tricks, resorts to old proven tricks, so to speak. To put it even more simply, he seems to be hanging out with an old greasy deck of characters, stories, situations, etc. What I mean. For example, in his original game, Maria was a nympho. We find out about this when MC overhears Jack's conversation with Warren. And just this explains her sexual behavior towards MC. What is not present, for example, in revamp. By the way, this is one of the reasons why I say that Lucy's story is a good story. Here he didn't have "old greasy" tricks from the original game, here he had to work a little.
And yes, repeated flash images of Lucy don't annoy me.

Go to Midtown, should fix part of your issue. It will be a little buggy though for the scenes because you are not exactly by the spot and Marcus is not with you. The Marcus mission thingy would replay. Then go to your room in new house. The game should be correcting the mistake after that

The big deal is the other 3 gangs have an absolute hate boner towards Warren (unlike Nesrot who's at least on terms with the Russians). If Warren consider MC as a friend & just casually asked him to do stuffs, he's risking his "friend" life by assuming the other gangs will just be okay with whatever errands MC keep on running for him in the future.
And that's another thing too, if we're assuming MC working for Warren is just a "friend" thing then his senses of awareness is shitty, he has no idea if he's being under watch (in the case of Officer O'Donnell, which she successfully spied on him) by someone. He risking his life for a "friend" (aka Warren) that could may as well ended him cuz the other gangs may assume he returns to Warren if they get a report in him running some errands for the gang that they absolutely loathed.
Like tell me, is that a smart thing to do when you have a big ass house & i dunno... 5 people to protect? This level of story writing just came of with either MC being a dumbass or Warren is secretly evil & trying to kill him by made MC work for him while he's in different gangs (on assumption cuz we have no official confirmations).

In general, I tend to believe that in the view of a Beggar, MС is not very smart in terms of strategic planning. No, he's not stupid. When it is necessary to resolve a really unfolding situation or prevent a threat that has arisen, MC is good. He does not think through the situation two (especially three) moves ahead, but how to say it, a good tactician. There is a problem, but here is the solution to this problem. And the fact that after such a decision everything gets even more confused, it's probably like a trick that should emphasize the humour of the situation. Its kind of meaninglessness.
In general, you take this whole gang thing very seriously. Last time it didn't come to the gang story at all. Now the situation with the game is also getting worse. In general, I think that Beggar simply forgets about some of the events in the plot that he described
Do you think he will continue it at all? Is MNL 2 possible?

if he does make it, i hope he does it in a better engine with a better quest system, because holy shit is this confusing at times without the guide.
Type w, that should bring up a menu with pass time at the top ---or download the mod and use it.

so out of curiosity... what is with all the deformed land whales in this game? is it how the dev views america or something? (which if it is i honestly would not blame him). like i get liking a woman with curves, but a good chunk of the women in this game look like they are one step away from becoming one of the giant land whales you would find in a wal mart, scooting around on a scooter cart.

Well it just common sense on my part, when you in a gang without planning ahead at all you'll end up dying sooner or later no matter how good you are at "adapting to the situation", which technically MC already failed once during the gang decision cuz he can't save 4 people all at once. If he kept that confident mindset on "adapting to things at the last minute", he'll fail again & this time he has 5 lives to protect & 2 of them are blood related to him. You would expect him at the very least (like bare minimum) to learn from his past experience & plan ahead (maybe just a little bit) to show his grow as a main character, but nooo he's still the same.In general, you take this whole gang thing very seriously. Beggar's writting on the gang story is like he picked up one of those crappy mobile mafia game one time & decided to write a story based on it. It's the "that's how mafia works" memes but as a porn game.
