If you have finished Brenda's quest completely to the point of unlocking all of her content, if you haven't gotten to the point of the getting the reps for the prom, DON'T click on the Carol doing the poster for the prom. It will start the Ms. Evens content and effectively soft lock your save.
This is due to later on in the game you will need to go to Carol's home to talk to her about the prom and if you do this it won't allow you to complete this task which due to the way the game is coded locks you out of several other characters content as well.

IF and i say IF your a single mother a male figure and a male proper figure is needed to guide your son on the right path, im not talking about psicology or any of those crap, simple male guidance that helps him find his path on life this is the best thing you can do

I also suggest you increase post count to 5 at least then you can go back being a background character as you said. This way, the forum features can unlock for you permanently. Including pm/dm, so you can message anyone even if they don't have features unlock.
