i'm stock. my main quest tells me to check the institute quest and the institute says to go to history class. i've repeatedly gone to history class and nothing happens. what else am i supppose to do?

Having a hard time trying to edit the save file to restart Carol's quest for her mom's photos. The variable for Carol Quest 1 seems to return the quest to an earlier stage (Marckus says that he needs the password for the PC). However, it seems that the items and character states are not linked to this variable in the save file. Anyone knows where these states are?
I'm checking CommonEvents.json and there are some references to the event, but the code is not intuitive at all. Any help is appreciated

Confirmed by other users and myself, the missing image patch fixes the missing image issue at pussy fights. I would suggest you check if you installed it correctly and the right patch, there are two!! You need only one!!

I had to start over because I haven't played in awhile and apparently the new beginning is buggy as hell does any one have a save or advice on how to get through the first couple of days.

Anyone plz help. I'm stuck at lucy laptop mission. From another website I found a save that is after the laptop mission i guess. And it's loads. the book of faces says to gather boxs from Maria's office. And institute profile says focus on family. So is there any point of playing with these saves? Is it gonna break the game or anything?
Tried that too unfortunately. No matter what save I load once I finish the race the exact same thing happens again. Mc is visible up until the race, only dissappears upon completion.
