I had the same problem in v0.002.2. After switching to v0.002.3 the teacher appeared in that position.

mechanic job is a bit underwhelming, but pam and nadine's side quests are a lot of fun.
besides, we got a glimpse of biological mother and red head stepsister in side quests, this update is okay i guess?

Use a save editor before entering class and set variable 18 to value 110. Load, talk to the teacher, it worked for me.
Still with this bug in the latest version, do I need to change some variables for Maria/Jack contents?

you have to save in the save data slot extract the file with the same name and replace it.
