Have you really select the folder with the game.exe or did you use the correct version (uncompressed) ?

i did select where the exe is and i even tried the www and local folders and its the uncompressed version i have .83

I have encountered a bug with Mrs. Taylor. I got the two packages she wanted and gave them to her, but it didn't register and that is what the hint says to do still and the door won't open or anything. I looked through the thread already and found advice to change variable 242 from 4 to 5. The problem for me is that my variable 242 is at 8. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have made an Updater from [v.0.83] to [v.0.83.5]:

This Patch will only work with the uncompressed version.

It will add 342 new files and modify 37 files. The modified files will be backup in a backup folder in the game dir. The Patcher also checks that you use version v.0.83 and will also checks md5 hashes before and after the update. The updater requires 10 GB free space for working. Keep that in mind .

If you only want to play the game and have not high quality claim to the renders, it will be better to download the compress version.
If you have the v.0.83 of the game and you want to have the renders without quality loss then use this patcher. It save around 4,7 GB of downloading.

How to use: start the Updater->click on browse->Selct the game dir where the exe is located->click ok->click on start->after the patcher said finished you can closed it

Hope you guys like this updater. A feedback would be nice, so that i can improve the updater.

You can use the windows version to make a working mac version. The permission problems can be solved by unzipping the downloaded game with something other that the system Archive Utility. I use Unarchiver (

). It's free and seems to preserve permissions.

Download the last mac version and the newest windows version. Unzip both with Unarchiver. Merge the files from the "www" folder of the windows version into the "app.nw" folder of the mac version. You'll get a working version of the newest update for macos. I do this every update. Be aware it'll take like a full minute to launch the first time.

Actually, if you search this thread for my posts I made very detailed post about fixing the permissions that is completely super ceded by just using Unarchiver.

I just tried this, but it didn't work for me. Without loading the files across from the PC version, I cannot save, and have no save files already there. With the loading of files from the Windows version from the "www"folder, I still can't save, but I have a save file already in the system in position 24 that seems to have already completed almost everything in the current version of the game. All of this is using Unarchiver. Any other suggestions? I'd like to play this game on my Mac, but without save capability I don't think I'll spend time here.
