Another week, another progress update!

I'm going to be honest, I did not expect so many different reactions regarding the idea to release a "snippet" of Chapter 4. I guess I didn't really communicate what I meant with it as well, so here is my idea more thought out than it was last week.

My idea was that you basically download this version, load your savegame and then I will tell you (ingame) that you're about to play one event that happens on the first day of Chapter 4, an event that involves Sabrina. Of course they are going to talk about what happened on this day in general ( Anna, the Jessica situation, Karla and the twins arriving ) but they'll also talk a lot about themselves, their first experiences together after what happened with Lea in the prequel etc. This snippet will last around 15 minutes I'd say, you will get some nice refreshing info on what is currently going on in Chapter 4 through dialogues ( I know this can be evil as well since you want to see the full chapter right away ) and you also get to see Sabrina in her "current form" again. During this talk you will get a longer scene that will actually happen in the next prequel Chapter as well - So you basically get two previews in one game, if that makes sense. At the end of this I'll make sure you get redirected to a proper point to save the game and then once Chapter 4 releases, you will start where you are supposed to start. I'm not doing this only to not have my game marked as "abandoned" or anything, I also feel like releasing something like this might put some minds at ease that have been waiting for almost 2 years to see something about the main game again. Today's render is actually part of this event, by the way. What do you think? Is this something you would want to do? This will be a one time event as well, I will never release a snippet like this again and will just provide full chapters to the public ( supporters will still get to play each day of course ).

I also put a decent amount of work into the next prequel chapter and My New Family 2 again. I'm going to be honest with you guys, seeing all the positive feedback after I released the prequel really put my mind at ease by such a huge amount, it's not even funny. I was worried sick that you guys would not like it or think it's a waste of time so I'm super happy that I can continue to provide future chapters. I'm currently not one hundred percent sure if I will release "a lot" of chapters after I can fully work on the main game again, I feel like that is something you guys will decide on your own when you played the next chapter. My New Family 2 on the other hand is going to be an interesting thing on its own. I kinda want to make it so even if you have never played MNF, you can still start with MNF2 if you want. Given the nature of the relationships in the game it can be kinda funny to see people jump into this one right away since usually those games all evolve around the fact that these relationships just started to form. And the release for the first MNF2 chapter might be sooner than you think!

Anything that comes out in either the main game or prequel would be great. I know some people will whine that it's not an actual release for the main game but it would no longer be abandoned and give us something to play so win win right? I really enjoy the storyline in both games and hope they both continue. I dunno if it would make sense at some point to have the prequel kinda absorb into the main game once killer7 gets the original work back or not.... kinda like while the MC is getting his memory back it flashes back to an old memory (the prequel) ad then your back in the present time going forward? Then any future updates to the prequel can show up as the MC remembering the past.

Another week, another month, another progress update!

Let's jump right into the games, shall we?

I'm making amazing progress on the little "snippet" I want to release for Chapter 4 and I can say that you will get a decent amount of playtime out of this. I can also 100% confirm that it will release this month, probably a few days earlier for supporters and after that it will release for everyone. I might release it on Steam as well, not 100% sure, I will see what the community over there thinks about it. Length wise it will probably be like a day in My New Family, most likely a little longer, I'm aiming for like 15-20 minutes. Like I said, this is only a super super tiny part of Chapter 4 but I feel like getting some time with Bethany and Sabrina in the current time where they talk about the things that happened will be good. And don't forget the little "flashback" moment you will have with Sabrina which will also be featured in the prequel. I don't know, my thoughts on doing this are more positive than negative especially since it has been such a long time since you got time with Bethany and Sabrina in My New Memories. I hope you will come to the same conclusion once you play it! Todays render is actually Bethany in Sabrinas apartment, shortly before she leaves to give the two some time alone. Keep in mind that this is still only one day after the MC got attacked and Anna woke up, so they will talk about it since its very fresh.

I also put a decent amount of time into the next prequel chapter. I feel like the start of the romance with Rei and Lea is just the beginning for the MC. While the shock of who Rei really is still sits deep in him, he also has to make sure that Lea will get updated on this. She knows about the feelings the MC has for Anna and even though Anna and Lea didn't interact much with each other, they're still friends. Since Lea is also the first love interest you interact on an intimate level with, she'll be the one who encourages you to not hide your feelings for other women, as you can imagine. Still, the MC is uncertain how to proceed after getting to know who Rei's cousin is, since he really wants to talk to her again but also doesn't know what she thinks about him or if she even forgot him. These are all things he can talk about with Bethany, Lea and Sabrina, but not Rei, at least initially. He doesn't know how she'll react if she finds out that his soulmate is her cousin - Something that will also be relevant for the main game, once Rei appears there. I'm not going to spoil too much in that regard, but Rei will just be as important as the three gingers during later chapters of the main game.

I have more news regarding My New Family 2 as well, which will 100% release this year , just like the next chapter of My New Memories: The Beginning will release. As soon as I have my rendering assets back I can also release Chapter 4 of My New Memories in a faster way than you might think - I'm around 1/3 finished with the script and it will be long. Way longer than Chapter 3. I'm doing my best, despite all the stuff that is going on in my life with this stupid investigation and potential court case against me, to get back to my initial form.

However, it would be nice if the pictures that MC sees showing him and other characters would actually show MC's face. A good example would be a family picture of him, mom and sisters in the prequel or his wedding pic with Anna in the main game.

Another week, another progress update!

Let's jump right into the games again!

I'm at the half point of the little snippet I wanted to release, where the MC is talking to Sabrina ( in the main game ). I feel like this talk will be pretty important for the two of them in general, mainly because of all the things that happened during the day - Like Karla and the twins arriving and of course the very important event with Jessica before. With the MC having his memories back and Sabrina realising a lot of things, they will finally be able to talk about Manny as well. Sabrina went through a lot of emotions regarding him, Karla and the twins and her hostile attitude towards them has been slowly but surely fading. You know I'm all about characters kinda "redeeming" themselves and even though it's too late for Sabrina and Manny to make up, she can still redeem herself regarding Karla and the twins. As I said a few times, these three will become a core part of the household. Having the two talk about all these things, including prior events ( which will lead to the "flashback" ) will deepen their relationship even more than it already was - Even if you didn't want to romance her. Of course there will also be some light hearted moments but overall this talk will be more emotional, as you can see in the render, the MC is hugging Sabrina ( I tried my best to recreate the MC but he now has a more prominent beard, this will just be for the snippet most likely and I will change those renders once I have my MC back. )

Speaking of Sabrina and the MC, after the events that happened during the night with Lea, Sabrina will start to open up regarding a lot of things - And the MC too. Remember, my intend for the prequel was to show how the MC became the man he is in the main game and who helped him to achieve that. Since his first intimate relationship started with Lea, the best friend of Sabrina, he is very unsure how this will affect the household he is living in with her. It's going to be funny for the most part, but I also think that Sabrina might get a little emotional when she has thoughts that go in the direction of "What if he leaves with her" etc. You know me, I like to make it somewhat corny and cheesy sometimes, with a lot of wholsome hugging.

Speaking of wholesome hugging, I also have a good idea regarding a cute little event in My New Family 2 that I had on my mind. Like I said a few times, it's such an interesting case for me to basically make a game where "all" the lewding already happened - The MC is married to a lot of women, and the "tenants" are also there already. I'm sure theres plenty of games out there who did something like that already, but I want to try to give it my own take. Let's just say that the MC stays how he is - He never pushes any of the girls in his direction but waits and see how they react. Though there might be a girl that will be in a similar situation like Alice was when she joined the household - In terms of feelings for the MC and the MC being a stupid pelican.

And I feel like that's it for now, people. Sadly nothing new to report yet and I'm really starting to lose my mind here. I hope that february will bring somewhat decent news, if anything happens I'll let you guys know. Stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

The script for the little snippet is almost done and I'm already firing up the renders in the background. I added a pretty deep talk that the MC has with Sabrina ( this all happens before you get the "flashback", the whole scene in general is very very long ) where you get the option to share your feelings with her open and honest... Or not. I don't want to get into too much detail of this talk, but it will be mostly about Sarah and her past. Like I said a few times, this snippet will talk about the things that happened the day before ( the Mike incident, if you want to call it that ) and I think it was the right decision to pick this event and not one with Bethany only. You will get a lot of information on what happened during this day already and my hope is that this will make you even more excited for Chapter 4 in general. Just keep in mind that there will be some "spoilers" of events that already happened during that day, so if you're not a fan of that then I can not recommend playing this snippet. Like I said though, my hope is that you will think "Damn, that happened earlier? Now I can't wait to see it in game for real!" since they won't talk about anything with too much detail, the MC will just mention stuff like "Earlier this day I talked to Lina" etc. I really think this snippet was the right thing to do, release a ~20 minute long snippet to enjoy some time with Sabrina from the main game ( and prequel ). Todays render is from the small part of the snippet where you get some prequel Sabrina time, where she is blushing in MCs bedroom. I wonder why.

I'm also currently working to release a functional version of My New Family 0.14 ( Chapter 1-9 ) for Android users. I have to convert all the images, which are around 15-20k, so that will be posted on

Speaking of My New Family, if I'm not doing much for the Chapter 4 snippet or the prequel, I'm still spending most of my time in Honey Select ( 1 and 2 ). I feel like it's very important to keep going back, even when My New Family is already completed, just to make sure I don't unlearn anything for MNF2 ( Trust me, this happened in November 2023 when I had no idea how to do certain things for the Christmas special ).

With the german law still not wanting to hand out that one harddrive that literally only contains my daz3d files, nothing else, I'm slowly but surely drifting in a not so good place of mind again. Working on the Chapter 4 snippet has been helping a lot not getting too desperate, though, and I can't wait to hear what you guys think. It will be a one time thing though, I'm not planning to release another snippet where you do something with Bethany, I think. It all depends on what you guys think, of course. Just wanted to give you guys a brief update regarding that situation, there is nothing new yet...After 1 1/2 years.

Another week, another progress update!

I just have a short update regarding my case, my lawyer called me last thursday to basically tell me "I requested an update on the case file in december 2024 and didn't hear back from the state attorney since then", which basically sums up Germanys law system in a nutshell. Seriously, I started to look up similar cases with heavier accusations and it's all the same, they take their sweet time for everything. It's annoying as hell. Oh well.

Let's jump to the games now.

I'm now at the part of the Chapter 4 snippet where the MC and Sabrina will think back to a certain event that will happen in the prequel as well. Once I realized that it's kinda funny, since you play a portion of Chapter 4 of the main game and then a portion of Chapter 2 of the prequel. I know this might not be for everyone and it's totally fine if you don't want to play the snippet since you prefer for the full release of Chapter 4. Like I said, this is mainly for my state of mind regarding the main game, since it has been so long since I made renders for it. Writing is always nice, but writing and rendering gives a different feeling. Still, the prequel will get a lot of love after this from me since I really want to push the stuff there forward, after the great feedback I got from you guys ( and the demand for more haha ). I plan for the MC and Jackie to explore their feelings a little, for example, something that will be very new to both of them since they have such a strong friendship. It's going to be very interesting for me to write stuff like that because I remember when I was in school, I had two friends who had been best friends for a long time and then developed feelings for each other. It didn't have a happy end though so I'm going to make sure that it will have one in the prequel ( or maybe it doesn't have to end at all? ). Todays render is Sabrina blushing on the couch because now that the MC remembers everything, she is a little shy again.

I'm also more and more leaning into continuing using Honey Select 1 for My New Family 2. I heard a lot of feedback from people on the Discord, here on this site and on a certain forum that they like how HS2 is more modern, but they would prefer to have My New Family 2 in honey select 1. I guess I just have to see if I can make it in a decent way, mainly because that engine is pretty old. Still, I'll probably start to create Lucys and MCs tenant and see how I feel. If you want to know what this version of MNF2 would look like you can play the Christmas Special I released in December 2023, I used some different honey select plugins there to make the game look a little better. I don't know, I'm still open to hear any feedback regarding this from you guys. But I guess I should show characters first in order for you to judge, right?

The supreme court in germany denied the appeal of 3 of the 4 suspects ( since the main suspect fled to thailand ), which basically means their jail sentence will be in full effect now. That was very good news, on a personal level.

I'm extremely sorry for that, I think I underestimated the length of it a little ( even though it's only about the length of a MNF day ). Maybe it was a little bit of "overwork" before the first prequel chapter release as well, but that is still not an excuse. But I have very good news, I have fully completed the script for the snippet and now only have to make the renders, which should easily be done this week! So if you were a $5 or higher tier supporter in the month of february but stopped to support in March, please send me a DM so you can play the snippet ~2 days before I release it for everyone to play. Like I said in other progress updates, this little snippet will talk a lot about stuff that happened earlier in that (ingame) day, so if you don't like to get spoiled ( things like the talk with Jessica a little, the MC talking about Karla and the twins etc ), and rather want to see it when the full Chapter releases, then don't play the snippet. I can highly recommend it though if you want some fresh My New Memories main game story! I also worked some more on the script for Chapter II of the prequel and I'm still super happy about the fact that you want to see more of it - At least until I can fully work on the main game again. My current idea is something related to Jackie, since her backstory is a good explanation on why the MC and Anna never hid the fact that they adopted Sarah and Lina ( once Lina was old enough to know about this, Sarah already knew right away of course ). Jackie already explained this a little to the MC, but will go into a deeper talk with him during an event they will have after the MC tells her that Anna will eventually come back.

That is not the only thing I'm working on though, like I said in other progress updates, I'm still a little torn regarding the engine I want to use for My New Family 2. I think it will all come down to a poll I'll make where I will show characters and you can decide which one you like more. It will most likely be Lucy and Sandra how they will look in MNF 2 using Honey Select ( they will look a little different since 18 years will pass ) and Honey Select 2 ( which will be a completely new look for them ). Lucy is the most loved character of My New Family so I think it's important that you guys get to see her and can then decide with your vote what you prefer. Of course it all comes down to what I prefer to work with in the end, but I will take every bit of feedback into consideration.

And I think thats it for now. My mental health has been getting better over these last few weeks and the extreme feeling of being down and not being able to do as much as I wanted to is basically gone. I'm very happy that I'm back on my usual work routine, even though I'm still struggling with this hell of a case against me. Still, I'm very confident that I will be able to release more updates this year than last year - Which is not difficult one would think, since it took me almost a year to finish the first prequel chapter. But yeah, new prequel chapter ( maybe even 2? ) + MNF2 + hopefully Chapter 4 ( once I get my stuff back it will be very fast ) will all happen this year. My current idea is something related to Jackie, since her backstory is a good explanation on why the MC and Anna never hid the fact that they adopted Sarah and Lina ( once Lina was old enough to know about this, Sarah already knew right away of course ). Jackie already explained this a little to the MC, but will go into a deeper talk with him during an event they will have after the MC tells her that Anna will eventually come back.

That is not the only thing I'm working on though, like I said in other progress updates, I'm still a little torn regarding the engine I want to use for My New Family 2. I think it will all come down to a poll I'll make where I will show characters and you can decide which one you like more. It will most likely be Lucy and Sandra how they will look in MNF 2 using Honey Select ( they will look a little different since 18 years will pass ) and Honey Select 2 ( which will be a completely new look for them ). Lucy is the most loved character of My New Family so I think it's important that you guys get to see her and can then decide with your vote what you prefer. Of course it all comes down to what I prefer to work with in the end, but I will take every bit of feedback into consideration.

And I think thats it for now. My mental health has been getting better over these last few weeks and the extreme feeling of being down and not being able to do as much as I wanted to is basically gone. I'm very happy that I'm back on my usual work routine, even though I'm still struggling with this hell of a case against me. Still, I'm very confident that I will be able to release more updates this year than last year - Which is not difficult one would think, since it took me almost a year to finish the first prequel chapter. But yeah, new prequel chapter ( maybe even 2? ) + MNF2 + hopefully Chapter 4 ( once I get my stuff back it will be very fast ) will all happen this year. germany has a extradition treaty with thailand in criminal matters & not showing up for court is an extremely serious criminal charge anywhere in the world.
meaning the governments can have this person arrested in thailand & transported back to germany for skipping out on his court date.

Oh I'm aware of that, apparently even interpol is involved too. The thing is, if you have money in Thailand you can pretty much live undercover for quite some time, at least it looks like this. My lawyer mentioned that he probably has clean new Papers as well already. Birth certificate etc. I still hope he messes up and that he gets caught there, he will end up in a jail in Thailand until his Deportation to germany and from what I read, those prisons are not joke.
