Which I did, and an overwhelming amount of people were happy about it. I started to work on the prequel which has its first chapter released now.

Then, now it's not the right decision so you said he need to "roll with it" and start from scratch?
Like Killer said, a lot of people were okay with his decision and still is.
Looks like you don't like his decision, don't want to be a dick about it but decided to be a dick anyway.
You can just say that you don't like his decision at this point because right now, you are the one how have a problem with it.

I don't understand why the prequel cannot just be "Flashback" chapters of this same AVN?
They will be combined at some point the way there are multiple seasons and all with other devs
so why not just have the work count as a release?
Prob not what F95 wants (at least someone) so they will fight that as well

I hate how the ignore feature doesn't allow me to also ignore the responses to the ignored ones. Right now, I have a page full of responses to ignored dumb posts and I keep getting notified of more being posted. There's just no escape from the stupidity.

That's why I don't bother putting them on an Ignore list.
This way I can have some fun... and there's few things I like more than throwing complex sentences to idiots... I know that they can't understand them, but while they are trying they feel the real measure of how stupid they are. It doesn't last long, it's a pity... but knowing that I made their hamster pass out of exhaustion is glorious. Then they turn aggressive, then I win.

that means it's been over 18 months, so what is the issue here?
there are 12 months (365 days or so) if going by the 12 month calendar... so 05.17.2023 to 05.17.2024 = 12 months + 7 = 19
It is what it is, I could comment about this a lot but i will just say, there is plenty of cases were they jump on content creators and finding utterly nothing, no clue about this situation here and I don't care... it's not like they keep ignoring actual abuse or help the abusers to avoid the sunlight for decades
If it's all true, then props to the Developer, S/He adapted to the situation and made the prequel, I didn't liked that but it's still a good thing if you think about this objectively... No i did not played it, it's a bit too early in the story for me to play, maybe in a few update of the main game.
Don't pay attention to the whistle emoticon, I just like it, i find it cute ^_^
