At first, because of the surrounding landscape, I thought that this might be Italy, but the Dodge police car,
signboards in English, the names of criminal articles and price tags in dollars, made me think that the scene was most similar to Canada.

I've long felt that it's long past due that writers, non American writers especially, just start inventing US states to base their stories in just like how American writers will just invent European countries to have a movie/tv show/ etc set it

Man, this is a fantastic game so far. It might be partly the bad cold I'm having right now, but this is the first game that's put tears in my eyes, and on several occasions even. Since I got it from another site I didn't check this thread until now, so the legal situation and the resulting delay is quite another gut punch to accompany the ones in the game. The first thing I did after finishing was actually to open Steam to wishlist it, but since it was on sale I bought it instead (I would probably have done so anyway). so I guess that's my small contribution. Hope everything works out soon.
Edit: It's not the cold per se, but sometimes I get more emotional when I'm sick and get more prone to react to such scenes.

I'm definitely just about to do that. It's kind of funny that with Memories I think that I wouldn't even mind that much if the game had no sex scenes at all. The story, and most of all the characters, are so compelling and appealing that I just want to live there for a while longer. The lewd is just a nice bonus.

Calm down, people. You've been following this thread for a while now, and there are 300+ pages of posts.

For newcomers, you'd have to read at least the last 10 pages (maybe even more) just to find out that there's something delaying further development, without a clear reason stated among those pages.

Honestly, I arrived in this thread because I was curious why there hadn't been an update in over a year (I haven't kept up to date with Killer7's dealings for a while), and the "Jump to new" button dropped me into the middle of page 296 (I think the entire forum was marked as "read" for me on June 1, or something). I decided to read the last 19 pages (i.e. from that point up to where we are now), and I didn't actually get a 100% clear idea about what's happened. From what I gather, just based on those pages, Killer7's computer(s) was seized at some point (no reason given in these pages of the thread), and he has since been focusing on making a prequel for My New Memories (betas released to Patreon supporters only so far). That's all I know from those pages.

I really think that, until Killer7 gets his equipment back (or get a clear outcome from the courts), this VN should be given the "on hold" status, and either a quick summary in OP, or at the very least a link to a summary that explains why it's on hold, maybe even continually updated whenever there's any progress in the case.

That way, newcomers to the thread (or people who haven't been keeping up to date with the dev/thread in a while) will get a general idea, at the very least.

you got some rude replies because the people who frequent these forums tend to see a lot of "update when" posts, often times these posts are made when there is a progress update on the same page. Doesn't mean its right, but it is what it is.
In the future, what you can do to make it easier for yourself and others in the thread is to set the search function in your preferences to most recent
Then you can just look up "progress update" or something of that ilk and it would be easier to find.

If you still cant find it, then it would help to write something a bit longer than "update when?", something like "I couldnt find the most recent dev update, does anyone know when the next update is coming out?" makes it sound like you at least tried to look for the information for yourself before asking for someone else to do it for you.
