First it started as a false accusation.
It was someone who went abroad because of the investigation. That says it all...
Something that is annoying but not the end of the world. Especially when you know you haven't done anything wrong.
But...
The police confiscated his computer and hard drives etc. Looking for resilient material.
Convinced of his guilt and/or not wanting to see that they did all the work for nothing they now try to construct something resilient.
Some unedited very small and very low resolution snippets or preview images of some 3d assets seem to look underage.
But only if you want to see naked underage material in that.
The police are still hoping that charges will be brought. That's why he hasn't gotten his stuff back for so long.
You can almost get the impression that someone at the police is on a personal quest for revenge.
He can't simply recreate the figures because he doesn't know the exact settings and changes that he made.
Furthermore he knows that he has done nothing wrong. I also wouldn't have any motivation to do all the necessary work.
So far no one has obviously bothered to look into his games even once because then it would be clear that the accusations are unfounded.
As long as the investigation is ongoing he won't get anything back.
It would be better if criminal proceedings actually took place because then he has a real chance to prove his innocence.
