I think as long as the game makes it pretty clear ( which my games do ) that the story is the focus, not the sex/lewds, it should be easy to "avoid" Them if you are not into that. What is not okay in my opinion is people skipping those warnings ( even though they are in the thread AND in the game ) and then complain that there is not enough sex...

Well, you should know it since ya first day here that 90% of the People don't read. They always prefer to complain later after play the VN. The last few days the Forum is really exploding with this sort of Trolls.

Adult != sex, if it were, it would be S(ex)VN or P(orn)VN.
But it is AVN with 'adult' as in adult themes not suitable for non-adult people potentially including violence, drugs, story elements not suited/comprehendible by children, ... and also potentially sex.
So an AVN could contain anything warranting an R/FSK18/PEGI18/... rating.
Which is why there is even a 'no sexual content' tag around.

edit// also i hate you, for making me finally break my decision for not buying early access etc games, got burned once and that was enough for me and here we are again after like 10 years, but my god do i need more of this..
I haven't seen much hate, though I haven't really paid much attention. I'm actually surprised at how patient most are in here after 8 months of development time. Killer's work is well written, and updates have been fairly lengthy, but that's still quite some time.

He's alternating between 2 games, he did my new family's update back in february. So he's been fairly consistent honestly.

This was posted back in september but since people aren't in his discord, or just can't read, or choose not to read I'll post it again:
As some of you may have noticed, I posted the poll about shifting between updates or not two days ago. So far there is a very strong lead to alternate between games and I have to admit, I'm very happy about that. I also know that some people won't like this decision and may decide to stop supporting me - which is totally fine as well. I was expecting it and I respect that one hundred percent. It's just that my mental health has suffered more than I thought these last months because working on My New Family primarly just didn't feel as good as it used to for me.
Just as a side note, since the release of My New Memories I released two My New Family updates. I read some comments where people said the development of My New Family slowed down etc, but that is obviously not the case. 0.21 was just the update that was probably the hardest to work on for me so far. I'm happy that you guys enjoyed it nonetheless, and I can promise you big things moving forward with 0.22. Kiara, the weebs, etc, all of them will get a huge spotlight. I also plan to make this update bigger again!
So according to the poll this means that I'll probably switch to working on My New Memories full time now, until the first update is completed. After this it's back to My New Family again, etc. I'm still not really set on this and I might also work a bit on My New Family once I run into a writers block. I'll keep it flexible but the focus will be My New Memories, I guess. Which means it will just be switched, I basically did the same when My New Family was the focus, just the other way around. This does not mean I wont work on My New Family at all, I will still work on it and release betas, just slower!
When people like you snarkily reference a dev's post it doesn't help, nor does it actually change anything for people who feel there's been a long wait since the last update. Also, even with alternating, 5 months and counting is still getting there. Compared to certain other dev's, Killer doesn't strike me as a milker, but still surprised there's not more mentioning how long it's been.

I think it's still undecided regarding the youngest daughter but since there are goldfish that laugh at my memory don't take it to heart
You will eventually be able to romance every girl that has a name. So, if you visit a restaurant or a café and the girl is just called "Waitress", she will probably be dead after you are gone ( maybe ). You're only save in the MNM world if you have a name.
I knOw I kept teLling people to stop askIng you, but mentally I'm doing backflips I'm so Very excIted about one implicAtion of that confirmation. I don't think a nuke going off on my front yard could wipe the grin off my face right now.

This might help in the future, but the other ones you already met? They're gone. Poof. If she doesn't introduce herself with a name something terrible will happen once the MC leaves the area. Housefires, car accidents etc...Might be worth doing a whole story on ( I'm joking btw, I'm not gonna make a story out of the random people you meet in MNM mysteriously never appearing again ).Then from now on I will manually assign a name to all unnamed female NPCs within the code. It would be funny to see random news reports on the tv that talks about the nameless NPCs disappearing or something though. A sort of Easter Egg maybe?
