One thing that brought up an intense emotional reaction was that the music used for Anna's visits had "echos" of Unchained Melody, which, for me, was associated with the movie Ghost.well then, i gotta wonder wtf have i managed to do since i cant even remember there ever being a library in this game even though ive known about topchoice = correctbecausek7 due to MNF...well i guess i got new excuse to play through the game again and be more moderately mad at k7 because of the v0.4 made me actually think that

It wasn't a Star Trek-level cliffhanger (which, while they didn't originate it, did kinda set the bar), but it was a soap opera-level one ... but yea, ending after the fade-to-black would have been a full-on, season-ending, nail-biting, proper cliffhanger.
A cliff hanger is supposed to leave unresolved plot threads and unresolved tension. Ending it in the alley or when MC was tied up would've been a cliffhanger. Ending it when Anna's hand moved would've been a cliffhanger. Ending it before we confirmed that dream Anna was the real Anna would've been a minor cliffhanger. There's no real major unresolved tension, we know Anna is cool with everything the MC's done, and all major plot points and conflicts have been thus far concluded. That's not a cliffhanger.

Cliffhangers were the staple of the old serials that would play in the movie theaters. The hero would be literally hanging from a cliff, or in an exploding building, or a train that plunges off the cliff, then people would have to wait a week to see the next installment...to discover that there was a ledge under the cliff, or the hero had escaped the building/train except it wasn't shown the first time.

well, while not a cliffhanger in the actual sense, its a cliffhanger in my mind because i do have to wait until steam says that theres an update available and i can finally continue getting hit in the feels.
