Well, with how the characters are pretty much exact copies from My New Family, this VN is still pretty good. I really like MNF and it's neat to see it with these type of graphics rather than the more cartoon-y ones. Hopefully there will be more than 3 sex positions this time though.

And to be fair, I did say "pretty much" exact copies. The MC is pretty similar to the one in My New Family, especially in the early stages, with similar sense of humor (thankfully the MC doesn't try to make bad jokes out of every little thing. Yet), and the FMCs are all really, really similar to the ones in My New Family. Like, cookie cutter almost. Same senses of humor, the way they talk, everything, just with a different character model. Which is fine. I'm not exactly complaining. Just making a statement lol. Only thing that would be a complaint (less so a complaint, more of a hope for the future) is the sex scenes. Since My New Family only has 4. The weird standing position, missionary, cowgirl, and the occasional standing doggy style. The occasional boob or blow job, but those are all the same exact same positioning, just replacing the background and character model lol. But makes sense. Lots of less individualized/unique scenes but allows developer to make the updates longer/bigger with more content, etc. So it's not waiting 4-5+ months for a 10 minute update.

As for the lack of positions: I'm guessing that's primarily due to HS.

Yes, Killer has mentioned that before. HS has proven to be a challenge regarding positions.

Hello there you very cute people out in the world!
Another week, another progress update!
I have some more news regarding My New Family 0.22 this week. I started to add some of my new writing stuff that I learned in My New Memories into My New Family, creating some more in depth and emotional dialogues. You will notice this right away in the beginning of the first day, at least if you decided to romance Lucy. I want to steer the game back into the very positive no drama thing that is has been anyway, just a little more, I guess. You will see what I mean once you play it! I still aim to release at least one beta this month.
I also have some very good news regarding My New Memories. I will most likely finish the script for the last day this week. I'm already at 8000 lines of code and I'm only 1/4 done with the day. Like I said a few times by now, the first update for My New Memories will be as long ( if not longer ) than a regular My New Family update. And that is over the span of "just" three ingame days. Working on it has been a blast, I'm enjoying it a lot and it also started to improve my overall mood outside of working on the game. I started to do some personal stuff that I have been neglecting for the last few years. Anyway, back to the game. Like I already teased in the last progress update, I will end this one with a big cliffhanger. It will be a very obvious if you pay attention, kinda like the last one. And of course, it aims to make you happy, not angry or worried. That is something that will probably never change with any of my games - creating positive emotions over negative ones. Drama free zone, I guess. I also plan to give the MC a pretty important "solo" event, one where he is basically on his own without any of the other girls present. Well, except someone that he always relies on in these trying times. It will be very emotional and I hope it will shine some more positive light on his life before the accident. The render you see in this news is from an early event of the third day, where you spend some time with Yukiko and talk about different things.
And I think thats it for this week. A little shorter progress update, still, I hope it's still enough information for you guys. Keep an eye out on the patreon page to see if the writing hits 100%, but it should. I'll keep you guys posted, no matter what. Stay awesome!

My suspicion is something like when they were little kids she told him she wanted to marry him when he was older (or something similar), and he said yes. Then he forgot about it or just dismissed it as "stuff kids say" (as you do), while she was entirely sincere about it, and never stopped wanting it.
So then later when he got married, she kind of saw that as a betrayal and become hurt over it, and started lashing out. Or she figured out that the twins were having a relationship, and that's what hurt her. Either way, I suspect the solution is going to be to try and bring her into things rather than leaving her lost and in pain on the outside looking in.
