LMAO, your bar must be really low. How is this story the best you've ever seen? So many VNs have a story 100 times better than this sloppy mess. I'm curious, what in the story made you think, 'Wow, artistic genius'? The only emotion I felt was from my dick when the bird bitch wanted to show me her tits for sex ed. Even that could have been expanded on and told in a better way. But other than that, everything has no balance and is so out of pocket and rushed. The main idea behind the whole reason we are in the princess's company makes zero sense, and the story has no world-building or character building or growth besides the hog dad.

It is 'genius', especially when compared to 95% of visual novels out there. It mixes by far the best art I've seen for a 2d game with the whimsy and lightheartedness of a Saturday morning cartoon; Which is hard to pull off with the main themes of bestiality and corruption.
It's funny and doesn't overstay it's welcome, what it sacrifices for depth and a slower burn, it makes up for with wit and grounded characters, that don't talk like they were written by a high schooler.
The problem is, you want it to have 'depth', which is like saying dragon ball z should have had more character exploration and philosophical underpinnings, which is pseudo-intellectual nonsense. It's a short, sweet and funny cartoon, not some goddamn charlie Kaufman movie, genius, is about admiring the simple. It's not about being in awe of needless complexity.

My father used to say, you can tell an artist's skill by the hands,
also, look at the use of color, not necessarily the brightness, but the use of complimentary colors to make it pop, top image is flat and grey, bottom is jumping out the screen!
Also if you think that it's muted on purpose, look at an artist like Incase, who can take mostly grey and make you feel like the image is on fire.

Exactly that! plus a stronger sense of dimension and layout. You can also clearly see how much the art of WAL evolved and improved during production. they were most likely on an different artistic experience level than the MPP artist when they started their project. still, one of the best looking handdrawn games here, and their story and writing is what saves them easily imho.
The writing of WAL combined with the art of MPP would be perfect.

The other poster may have been overly critical but lets not fool ourselves, the story is mediocre, and yes it could have better writing than 95% of the games here, that's more down to most games having mediocre writing at best.
The basic rule of whether a game has good writing or not, if you removed the sex, could the writing carry it, that simple and there are very, very few games in that category, this doesn't come close to them, games like Being a Dik, Superhuman or Artemis where the fans really get into the story.
As for "depth", it doesn't need to be that deep, people are easily moved by simple love stories and this doesn't have that compared with a game like Artemis where I want to see the romance aspect of Kindra's route far more than the sex.

Yeah. I think it has potential for a great story but it would be incredibly difficult to keep the art as good and have an engaging deep storyline while keeping updates consistent. Unlike a lot of games where I don't like the huge walls of text and basic renders during conversation the charm of the art does keep me engaged and I spend more time reading which could possibly affect why people reflect so positively on the game's story - it is greatly benefited by the art. Would like to see more romance with the princess 100%, and bronwen (big pig lady i forget her name i think)
Ok lets take a moment to notice aside from Browwen isn't just pulling off insecure shy girl shirt tug but sh is still girly enough to sleep with a stuffed animal. Something says that Emelie and Browwen might pull the heart strings of nerdlings if they get an H scene together with the MC
He says by Monday, barring problems outside his control. I don't expect it before the weekend, it's just a few days either way.
