What I try to look for is the perfect blend of sex scenes and story to keep me interested during every facet of the game. I think the freshness of the MC's personality mixed with his backstory and reason why he's working at the game company is enough as is to keep me interested. Then you add in supporting characters and I think it's good harmony. I even appreciate Zeke the supportive bro character to the point where I care about his story and journey. Overall good story, good characters, good music that adds to scenes at times,

best game i ever play in f95, great modeling depict character , this gane made me really confuse about which one is better for be my waifu queen, modeling of Rin real amazing well balanced cute and sexy , Kristal also good. The story is good and animation very sexy.

Review as of Ch2 Ep1 Pt2. That's a mouthful.

I really wanted to like this one, especially since most people seem to think very highly of it. But I was put off from the very beginning, and while it improves as it went along (presumably the game dev got better as they continued developing), nothing heats up past lukewarm.

Graphics: 3/5

The renders are your typical Honey Select game. I really struggle with Honey Select. While I sometimes go back and forth over whether I like the art style or not, Honey Select just lacks the level of shading, lighting, textures, etc that really separate the best rendered games from the pack. And while it's understandably not the focus, I so rarely see a male character that doesn't look like a backup dancer in a boy band, so I assume it's not designed to render anyone who doesn't look the type. They all have the same messy haircuts that are probably bleached tips away from being out of an early 2000s music video. Sometimes they're fat or have a creepy beard. For variety I guess.

Big pet peeve is when girls have clothes that cling taut to the underside of their boobs. Why? Do they put tape there?

Characters: 3/5

The MC, in particular, has one of the most punchable faces I've seen in a while. He looks like a 15 year old boy, carries an expression that is simultaneously inscrutable and smug, and acts like a total dickhead to everyone he meets for seemingly no reason.

Other characters seem to write off this kind of behavior as being "introverted." Which is... NOT what introvertedness actually means. Introverted people just like to have their alone time. They tend to deplete their energy when around other people and have to recharge by being alone, as opposed to extroverts who are energized by social activity and get lethargic when they have to spend too much of their time in isolation.

It's also a spectrum. No one is purely introverted and no one is purely extroverted. And it's not a matter of social skills. You can be a socially savvy introvert or a socially awkward extrovert. It's a measure of your personality inclinations, not your practicable skills.

People who are assholes to new people they meet are not introverts. They're just assholes.

And people who have the cluelessness to answer "Why should I tell you?" when they're innocently asked "Why didn't you tell me [about massive life changing decision here]?" are socially inept assholes.

So basically the premise of this story is you have an "introvert" (read: asshole) move into a house where one of his housemates is another "introvert" (read: another asshole), with two other housemates who have the patience of saints for dealing with these "introverts", and a girl who apparently has crippling social anxiety because she's been there for years but no one knows who the hell she is, or have even seen her around (but you coincidentally see her the first day you're there). Does she sleep? Go to the bathroom? Eat? Leave the house? Stay tuned!

The developer takes on a kind of amateurish approach to characters by taking their most pronounced attributes and exaggerating them to 11 to immediately MAKE IT CLEAR THAT'S THE KIND OF CHARACTER THEY ARE. You have your ice queen, your tsundere (sorry, "introvert"), your bubbly girl, etc. It's characterization by screaming. People are generally more than their most obvious traits, not that you can tell with this author.

Thankfully, you eventually learn more about the characters, but too often these personality adjustments manifest as complete changes to their entire manner of speech or action, which strike me as an odd, hyper-fantasy-ish way of writing. Like you're determining people's entire personalities by way of making some story choices.

Storytelling: 4/5

You're quickly introduced to some neckbeards in the game development department who have creepily named the "Six Angels" of the company, which I imagine the author thinks is a clever way to introduce all the company girls they bothered to put in the game, but in reality is just kind of unsettling and weird. Seems kind of predatory to be ranking your coworkers based on their looks, and in front of the new girl at that.

Luckily, the story manages to get better. You can round out the MC's character a little bit, and kind of blunt Yui's spiky exterior, but the relationship between MC and Yui are some of the most dull to read. The MC is very much a character that needs to be carried by much less asshole-ish characters like Rin, who thankfully is in the VN a good deal, and is easily one of the highlights.

The story is probably the best attribute of the book by a long shot. The VN progresses fairly naturally, without feeling too forced from one plot point to the next. There's a fair number of grammar mistakes, but as the author is not a native English speaker, it's easy to give them a small pass.

Lewd Scenes: 3/5

They're... ok? They are kind of few and far between, which is not a bad thing when the game prioritizes plot and relationship development like this one. But when they are there, they're nothing too special. Honey Select games tend to just fall into a "meh" average. Nothing jarring or poor, but you'll definitely find better.

A great game will make you play until the end, a masterpiece of a game adds something to you while you play it and will be unforgettable.

Normally I wouldn't give anything top rating to be objective, but this rating is based on comparison to other Ren'Py VNs, and even other porn games in general.

My Real Desire is a slice-of-life visual novel with great characters and their interactions with each other while the main character follows their plans. Why such a mundane thing is so great? Because unlike most other works where they follow a planned story in a painfully obvious way, MRD feels very natural and characters feel like real people.

In many other VNs the personality of a girl is the size of her boobs while the MC has the personality of a blade of grass. However, in MRD everyone has a unique personality with flaws and quirks, which makes them all very attachable. And the most standing out one is the MC, Isac. While at the beginning he is seen as a character with no ambitions, desire or even a personality, but throughout the game, you will discover what kind of person he is and see how people can get attached to a guy that cannot show any emotions.

The girls (ank Zeke) all have interesting and unique personalities, as I have said, and each have their own charm. They all have a natural and progressive relation with Isac and during those interaction you, as the player, also get attached to them. In any other game, if I see a couple/friends get introduced I know that the boy is there as just a plot tool and is temporary. But in MRD, when Mika got introduced at the beginning I was thinking "Mika's cute" but after some story progression it changed to "Zeke and Mika are precious and I will protect them at all costs". Normally I am not interested in girls with small chests in games such as these but like I said, the attachment the game instills into the player now I am interested in every potential girl.

Apart from the story and the characters, this game also has one of the best, if not THE best, visual details and design I've ever seen in a Ren'Py VN game. Both the outdoors and and indoors have really great and appropriate details to them, the characters are easily distinguishable without reducing anything from their beauty and have believable styles for clothing and hair/makeup. The lighting is much more improved to other games in the style, but I cannot talk about sound design as I played it muted.

My only weird memory about this game is with its actually one of more ambitious aspects, and that is the quick-time events. There is currently one in the entire game and as far as I know it is not optional. I have played the whole game on my phone with Google Remote Desktop so when I got to the quick-time event it got too weird for me. It played out like a Garry's Mod videos from 2010, too fast and too chaotic. I didn't understand what was on the screen most of the time as it passed to quickly and it was hard to click on the hit points on the phone, but I burst out laughing as the what I could see from the scenes were rather funny and added more to the chaos. It could be more accessible if the hit/miss scenes stayed a little bit longer for clarity, the hit points were a bit bigger and the time allotted was a just a little longer, like half a second, it would be great.

The developer visibly put a lot of love and effort into this game, both in the visuals and the story (and sometimes mechanically). I definitely suggest you to check the game out and if you can, support the developer.

I happened to come across this game by chance, and I must admit I like it quite a lot.

First of all the MC already distinguishes himself from other games with his personality & his background, I guess depending on how one looks at it, ranges from extreme introvert to almost terminator like personality.

But as he interacts more with characters, players can choose to have more sentiment, be honest, and be more friendly with people who surround the MC, making him more rounded out as a developed person.

This concept felt pretty refreshing tbh.

And the 7 angels of the company all look great, and interactions between them and the MC really keeps me engaged (though I must admit, interactions between MC & Zeke were pretty good too).

Really fun game, and looking forward to how the MC will be balancing precariously his 2 lives as well as his romances with the girls.

TLDR: is good, play game

This is one of those games you occasionally find that gets you wrapped up i the story. The characters feel real, I care about them and want what's best for them. Occasionally, when sex scenes began i would be surprised as I would get so caught up id forget this was a porn game.

I played this game with all 4 chapters in one and was very worried when the end of chapter 1 screen came up as i feared it was the end, fortunately it was not, but now it is. Sad Game player noises.

Wow. It's been a long time I found a gem like this game. I actually found joy playing a porn game.
- Character Models are gorgeous. Every character, even side character has their own personality and background. In fact, I'm glad that you added another guy besides MC to the house, and he's not another useless pathetic dude people randomly insert to the story to make the MC stand-out even more. He's strong and funny, and has his own girl.
- Story : mostly linear (I actually like that). good pacing.
- Protagonist: Lyk4n just writes one of the best harem protagonists I ever read. He is no way your typical dumb OP harem protagonist that every girl falls for no reasons. If you choose the 'good guy' path, you will see a major character development.

The story is interesting though being of simple concept where the MC rediscovers human emotions through interactions with people after being abandoned and living in solitary his whole life

Unique and interesting story. MC isn't a pussy, and he is genuinely likable. The characters are sexy AF. I really like the Asian look many of the girls have. The harem makes sense.

Excellent harem adult novel with an anime style, both in terms of visuals, story, and structure. There's a variety of different women (which means some don't get as much content) and a protagonist who at first seems a bit blank but really is just a bit shutdown and has a mysterious past that's gradually explored.

There are a couple limited sandbox sections, but they're mostly for finding bonus images and aren't too intrusive. The game is fairly linear with choices about which women to pursue. Choices can make events play out differently but mostly they're about getting points with women and are straightforward.

Scenes usually have a few animations that are decent to good.

The English dialogue can be a bit unnatural at times, but nothing too distracting. Some of the dialogue and scenes are well done and funny.

Though the system is rather similar to Being A Dik, the characters are original and attractive. This applies to both the male and female characters and I like the cool MC quite a bit. Its refreshing compared to the typical MCs we see

It's been a while since I got hooked on a game, and by hooked I mean thinking about the characters and plot even while not playing the game at random times of the day. This is a story worth following and a project worth supporting.

Pros:

- high quality graphics, with a myriad of changing backgrounds which suit encounters

- well fleshed out and in-depth characters, with some being foils for others, though a little generic to me but that might be due to me playing too many VNs like Grisaia

- plot is fairly interesting with some branching paths, though this remains to be seen as of Chapter 1

- protagonist is (finally) not a soyboy wimpsimp, however... (see cons)


Cons:

- not as many sex scenes as I would've liked
- not many kinks touched (rape, sleep rape by male, male domination, drug rape, deep throat etc)
- the above point might be due to the protagonist being the way he is, hopefully we will get to choose the path he takes and micromanage his character development, otherwise the game may or may not be too linear for some people's tastes

Let's hope that there will be an "evil" or morally ambiguous route which we can take. Love the suspense and encroaching dark stories that I feel might come. Will be watching this game with keen interest.
