I was bored out of my mind in class and my mind just strayed to this game. While I was thinking, I've thought up of a theory about the story.
Theories:
1. The author of hina's book is the demon lord and the co-author of MCs'.
Speculations: (I have no evidence)
1. Demon King is an Incubus and his wife is a Human Girl.
2. Hina is a Hybrid, half-demon and half human.
Theory 1 (Evidences)
A. Demon lord uses Ancient Magic
In chapter 1, when hina managed to erase a part of the summoning circle after giving us a tip job. She mentioned that it could only be recreated/restored using ancient magic (or something as strong as it). Unfortunately the ancient magic contained in the book was already used up via summoning.
Hina then tells us that among the people that could use ancient magic, is her father the demon king.
B. Located at the Demon Castle's Study Room.
In chapter 2, at the door of the study room. Hina tells us that his grandpa is an avid collector of books, and his father uses it the room to make his own books.

Hina's dad, the demon lord has most likely been writing books for a very long time.

Although Hina doesn't know when she got the book. Hina tells us that she's been sneaking in the library and taking out books. This pretty much implies that the book itself was either
collected by her grandfather or written by her father. 50-50
C. Maxwell knows about the books, or at least knows about the summoning circles.
In chapter 2, inside the interrogation room. When choosing the option of letting him know about your book.
He asks if it has, "Drawings, faces. Smiling and Painting and such."

I'd like to assume the face on the bottom right is the demon lord and the one on the top left is his Human wife. (Delulu? Overthinking it? Let a man go wild.)
Hina also likes to make faces in her drawings (remember the explaination for the summoning circle that she drew?), she probably copied it from someone close to her. Also since she's a shut-in, there's only a handful of choices on who they could be.
And if you just tell him Hina's book.

He was pretty spot on about the drawings and smiling faces, and this dialogue of his implies that he had some experience with summoning circles.
However, Maxwell does not have ancient magic. This all means that there's a
high probability that Maxwell assisted in making the books.
D. The Bento Box
- I was about to make a whole 2 paragraph about this thing on how it might be the demon king's souvenir at Japan. But after knowing that Hina has sisters. They probably just go to school or something, and one day gave her the left overs. And perhaps the demon realm just coincidentally have similar cultures to japan. Bento boxes instead of lunchboxes (pretty much the same, just the naming.)
Holes within the theory:
1. I was overthinking it, it's actually not that deep. The author of the book could just coincidentally have the same quirks on smiley faces as Hina.
2. There's too little information about summoning circles, and ancient magic may not be limited to powerful beings. Since books are able to hold and apply ancient magic, other items could possibly do the same.
Ramblings:
For a daughter of the demon lord to be a shut-in raises some questions. Like being a half-human n' half-demon hybrid.
Like wouldn't she have some confidence in herself for being the daughter of a demon king? At least respected and awed by other demons? There's definitely a big reason why she became a shut-in.
