Hey guys! Hope everyone has been hanging in there! It's been a while since I posted.

I know everyone has been waiting patiently for the game, so I won't waffle on for too long. I have some good news and bad news about Episode 2.

GOOD NEWS:

A month or so ago, I was secure enough in my financial position to quit my day job and go into AVN development FULL-TIME!!! Woohoo!
This is a major step for me personally, and while the majority of my income comes from writing for Inceton Games, it wouldn't be possible without the incredible support I have received from all my generous Patreon/SubScribestar supporters. I thank you all for this!

Episode 2 is coming along well, and we have recently passed the 1500 Render mark! Episode 2 in total is probably going to be around TWICE the size of Episode 1, so you will all have something substantial to bite into once it is released!

BAD NEWS:

This brings me to the bad news... I regret to say that I may have been a bit too ambitious with my goal of September for release. As helpful as it has been to be able to quit my job and work on the game every day, I still have quite a bit left to do. I've decided to move a major event that WAS going to be at the start of Episode 3 backwards into Episode 2. This was done as I feel the story would flow better overall with its inclusion in Episode 2. However, it is a large event, and I have yet to get beyond the writing stage, meaning that the whole event needs to be posed and rendered. I am sorry to say that I don't have a concrete estimate of time for how long this will take.

The majority of the rest of the episode has been completed, so after I finish this large event, I should be able to begin testing.

Overall, I don't want to set a definitive date for when it will be completed, as I'd hate to leave you guys disappointed. I understand that some of you may feel slighted by this, especially considering how long you have waited for it, so I apologise deeply for that. However, as much as it hurts to postpone, I'd rather give you guys a fully completed Episode than release it in chunks, or release it uncompleted. I have considered it, but I feel it would be a betrayal to the story if I were to go down that route.

Last post on Patreon was 4 September (it's quoted at the top of this page if you're on the default number of posts per page). In terms of timeframes, it just says it won't be a September release, which I think was the previous estimate.

you've deduced from subscribestar that since they have not communicated for two months that the continuation of development may be at risk, but you failed to observe if the frequency of the dev's posts would indicate otherwise. which it does.
i.e. it's not unusual for this dev to be silent for long periods of time, yet the development has continued.

I won't say too much, as I don't want to spoil anything, but the development of Episode 2 is almost complete. Still need to do some final edits before testing can begin. Expect an early/mid-December release.

hey .. this is really starting to piss me off .... the damn text speed .. keeps resetting ... i make it instant ... and it keeps going back to slow text

To fix this open the script.rpy in the game folder. Find the line "default preferences.text_cps = 45" and change the 45 to 0.
Then delete the "persistent" file in you game/save directory and start you game. Usually this exists settin is set in the options.rpy. For some reason the author put one here that overwrite the default. Enjoy!
