I get what you're saying, but at the same time I've been fed this exquisite meal time and again from the devs I listed and to go to try common take out is....kinda unappealing if it doesn't stack up to the top devs I listed earlier

Roadmap Update - What’s Coming to My True Desire!

Hi, guys!
Today I want to share something a bit different with you.
I decided to make this post not only to maintain transparency, but also because many of you still don’t know what’s coming in the near future. And since you’re here supporting the project, it makes total sense to share a small “roadmap” of what’s ahead.
Just a quick note: the ideas and dates in this roadmap aren’t set in stone. Think of this post more like: “Here’s what the dev is aiming for and when he hopes to make it happen.”
The image itself is a summarized version of the roadmap, but I know some of you like the details, so let’s break it down!
1 - Right now, I’m fully focused on finishing Chapter 04 and closing out a small cycle from the early phase of MTD’s story. This chapter will focus on the date between the MC and Ana, which is something that’s been hinted at in Chapters 02 and 03.
If you caught the clues in the last chapter, you might already have a good idea of what’s coming.
Besides continuing the main story and adding translated versions, I also want to bring new 2D animations for Chapters 03 and 04, and make this a more regular feature going forward. I’m currently talking with a few animators to make this happen.
2 - After the release of Chapter 04, I plan to take a step back and revisit some of the earlier content. I genuinely believe that I’m much more capable now than I was back when I made the earlier chapters.
I’ve grown a lot as a creator since the beginning of this project, and I feel that the early chapters no longer reflect the current quality of the game. So, for the game itself, my goal is to update Ana’s sprite visuals, polish the artwork, and improve the overall flow of the scenes.
I know I did my best at the time, but honestly… I think I can do better now. (And let’s be real, I'll probably say the same thing about Chapter 04 a year from now, haha! But that’s part of growing.)
As for things outside the game, I’m planning to:
I expected there to be a lot more people on the Lover tier compared to the Follower tier, especially considering the rewards are significantly better and the price difference is small. Most creators usually set that tier around $10, so I intentionally went lower to make it more accessible.
But if this doesn’t change after the next Chapter 04 is released, I’ll probably need to revisit that decision.
3 - And last but not least: Chapter 05!
Now, out of everything I mentioned, this is what I’m most excited about:
Chapter 05 will take place at an anime convention.
That opens the door to so many fun and creative possibilities.
To be blunt, I want this chapter to be big, fun, and sexy as hell.
We’ll also be doing another community event for it!
By then, there’ll be a lot more people following the project, so it’s going to be incredible seeing what kind of ideas the community brings to the table.
That’s everything I wanted to share for now!

- Open up the Discord server to the public
(Don’t worry, paid members will still have exclusive roles and channels) - Exploring a release on Steam and possibly launching a wishlist page
- Reevaluate the Patreon tier pricing/rewards if needed

I hate these things that devs do, wanting to go back, waste time and change nothing, for me it's a way of milking... please, don't do that.

personally i think fixing old things gives it a bit of replay value for returning players and makes the final release better for people who are just starting out, as long as the waiting time is justified. according to the roadmap, it seems like chapter5 isn't being postponed just because dev is working on chapter 4.5 so as long as that doesn't change i see no issue

4.5 is fixing, fixing what? We don't know, there's nothing bugged, it just wants to make the "images prettier", what game does this and doesn't change anything and even makes things worse, it's not written. and this obviously harms the progress of ep5, the time that would be for ep5 is going to "prettier images" of the previous eps, but nothing major happened in the previous eps, just the progress of the story.

Unfortunately, there's no perfect solution for this, but the thing is: if you compare the scenes from Chapter 01 with Chapters 03 or 04, you'll notice a big difference
New players start the game from the first chapter, which is the foundation of the entire experience, so the quality can't be too far behind
It might not be new content for those who have been following the game for a long time, but it would still be valuable content for many people

Important lore question for you, DTZ Games. What's Ana's hair color? In the first chapter you can clearly see purple tones, especially under bright light, but the closer we get to chapter 3, the more it looks closer to simply black. I need it for purely scientific purposes.

And at some point, I'll have to remake the earlier chapters anyway. I'd rather do it now than later... imagine doing that around Chapter 10 with five or ten times the audience I have now! ☠
"Now that he's huge, has thousands of supporters, and the game is close to ending, he's going back and remaking old content!"
But I get your point of view. Most people following the project just want to know what happens in the next chapter, but I, as the creator, need to see the project as a whole

That's one of the things I want to fix with the remake of the earlier chapters
Her hair is dark, almost black. But with a subtle bluish tone. Depending on the lighting and its color, that blue tone should appear more or less noticeable

I could totally use that as an excuse, haha! But the truth is, back in the first chapters, I didn't really know how to get the exact hair color I wanted
He pretty much said he's doing a Torimiata once he mentioned a remake
To be honest, in the picture in the first part, the wife/girlfriend looks more cute.

I don't know exactly what happened in Torimiata's case since I didn't follow everything, even though I played the game. But my intention isn't to do a full remake like he did. What I want to do is more of a visual update, and maybe add some images or improve scenes that currently just fade to black, to help with understanding and transitions

I know AND support what you're doing. It's understandable that you want to touch up some of the rougher parts in the beginning as your art improves. And people's anxiety here isn't completely meritless either. Learn from others' mistakes, which would be to be careful that retouching some parts doesn't turn into full blown remastering, to the detriment of the your and the story's forward momentum.
Personally I see no issue with the earlier game version graphic (I understand the feel of wanting to update it by dev), they look good but I have to agree with earlier comment about 0.4.5 being waste of time, its early game and story introduction, no big action happen there so most people probably don't really care (even more so because they aren't even bad).
Making it public here that 0.5 is supposed to be huge makes the 0.4.5 seem even more pointless.
I feel like making story progress priority would be better and upgrading the early chapters leave as something that you do on the side and implement it eventually at some point when its done.
As you already see people will be thinking like we had chapter 5 is he going to do 0.5.5 fix now? chapter six came out is it time for 0.6.5 fix ?
For me it's no big deal, it's just going to be different time wait to see story progress.
Btw, great story so far. Curious of that chapter 4, will probably see it on par with other great ones like Moonripple Lake, Blurring Walls, Shadows of Ambition and College of Mysteria
