What is the difference between version 0.4 and 0.4.5? It obviously doesn't add new chapter but does it add something in previous ones?

Yeah, the intention is to release it in January. After the year turns, I'll probably release a new, fully updated roadmap with my plans through the end of 2026

So, while I really like where this game is going so far (both the visuals and writing), I did notice that one of the BG audio tracks is a near exact rip from another very popular visual novel. I'm sure there's some grey area as neither are retail games, but it's not a great look.

Don't know what track you're referring to, but it's almost certainly a track from a music library that anyone can use in their projects. There are a lot of AVNs that use the same song tracks; I've played enough to where I've come across the same track in multiple AVNs.
The BGMusic track is the same as "Neutralmusic" from My New Girlfriend. I also recognized the track during the restaurant scene in chapter 4 from somewhere else (could be another from MNG or possibly Shadows of Ambition).
If this is from a free use library, I would be interested in where they're being pulled from. I figured most of the authors were creating their own music or at least using an AI music platform.
