I never could get this game to work for me. Whenever I try to open it and hit play I get a screen saying the game failed to load properly.
Just a wild guess: maybe you have to adjust the Windows compatibility settings (right click » properties » compatibility).

I opened the game with the 64-bit version of the player and it crashed a couple of seconds after I loaded the SWF file (it said something about an "invalid (NULL) class pointer").

So this version has trophies automatically disabled? That's fucking lame. I should be able to toggle them on if I want. If that's the case, which version has them enabled?
Lithier's website has MVOL (non-plus) free at .

I understand the point of Petre, but considering how long it takes for him to just pull the wire on the back of my head I was expecting for content I was assuming I wasnt finding. Yeah there's some story on Lith there, but everything else is repetitive meandering, considering how quickly one can black collar Lith.

The other points, yes. Do X thing Y times with Z collar. Doesnt change the fact I wanna know whats going on. It may sound entitled of me, but Ive already moved from playing for the experience into playing for curiosity, and Id rather enjoy the writing than worry about the exact moves needed to unlock Puzzle Box Lith.
Agreed. I have played throught the game several times at this point and am far more interested in just seeing what there is to see. It's annoying that its being treated as some kind of top secret. I get that you don't want people just stumbling upon it by accident but come on. I've been told how mind blowingly good the secret is several times already, which has removed all chance of it actually having an impact anyway.

okay, two things. one. the secret ending has some aspects tied to the discord (in that if you find it you can access things you normally can't) so there is one reason people are mum on just outright saying it.

and two, the nature of the ending encourages a less logical and more emotion driven viewpoint (in that you have to do a thing or two that from a game standpoint doesn't make sense.) to get it.

though I guess I will give one big hint for those who need a push.

the player (you) and the character (who you play as) are not the same person to be able to persue the ending you need to understand that first as well as the logic that implies which is there are some things you can do that your character can not, and certain things your character can do that you can not.

all the endings implied that so its not really that massive of a spoiler. but figured would point it out for those who have not understood yet.

the actions you need to take to get the secret ending are tied into doing things only you can do that the character can not.

im willing to give a bit more of a hint on where to start if requested enough, kind of tired of the blind fumbling is all so figured would help a bit more then just the hint I gave before.

Your hint is only helpful if you already know what you are doing. "stuff only the player can do" constitutes literally everything you can do on a computer. Besides, I've long since lost interest in trying to brute force the ending. Unless I get a straight answer I'm not going to waste my time looking. Good night to you, sir.

After having played five-ish endings I can safely say I'm not invested enough to try and slog my way through this to find the super secret golden true omega new game plus ending. Mostly because I find it hard to sympathize with dreary pseudo-existential traumata while other parts are still stuck in 'porn logic'. It just doesn't mesh very well. Definitely well made, though.

This game is confusing as fuck, it's the first playthrough I do and I managed to get to the steel door.. but no matter what I do it always seems like I get a negative score on Lith's judgement (Steel Door)

How in the world are you supposed to get a positive score? What are the options if anyone would be kind enough to tell?

I don't know if there's a "happy" ending where you and Lith could go back to a better world.. stick together, that's kind of the idea I had in mind for the ending.. I don't even understand the story, if there even is one to be honest...

There definitely are happy-ish endings. If there is a true happy ending I haven't seen it. I recall one of the endings which I mostly skim-read because 30~ pages of exposition dumping kinda grilled my brain in which Lith and the avatar were all happily cozying up in bed. Until the brain cord got yanked. Oh well. Good segway into the story explanation.

Think of MVOL as an AR game inside a Flash game. You (the player) control yourself (the avatar) and interact with Lith in a kind-of full 100% immersion. A bit like Matrix. Really cute idea up until the angst creeps in.

I had around 350~ points before I went through the steel door and ended up with something around 170. I went through a few scenes and exhausted most of the dialogue. I also went with mostly nice stuff - no aggressive stuff or anything.

I think I remember the final ending having to do with reinforcing the separation between the player and the avatar, so the avatar picks an option at a certain point that the games ui will not provide the player.
